Well Halloween is obviously coming. As we Ghostheads know, and probably feel... kinda like the force... anyway.

My Nephew is 8 and I've introduced him into Robotech and Ghostbusters. Mostly the latter. And I figured I'd make him a Slime Blower for several reasons, the two biggest being he likes GB2 better and it would be a great present, as props last and are reusable.

I downloaded the 'Crayon' Slime Blower plans. The ones that use a Toys 'R Us Giant Crayon as the rifle unit. But I have questions:

1. What is the best material to make the pumps out of? The pumps meaning the metallic ribbed boxes on either small tank.

2. Where can I get tubing for the main tubes to the gun and the tube from the pump to the sphere?

3. What's the best way to make the boxes, like the 'battery' box and the box with the little light bulb that blinks?

If you want to see the plans I do share them on Grokster, and Kazaa and Morpheus are Grokster-friendly. Search for DragonTech under user. Keep in mind I may not always be online. Or for an easier way (for you lazy people) I could put them on a temporary page.

I have 4 years of High School Metallurgic training, which includes but is not limited to: Electric Arc Welding, Oxyacetylene Welding, Mapp Gas Welding, Oxyacetylene Metal Cutting, and simple Pop-riveting. I've also had several Metallurgic jobs and businesses, so I'm fully trained in anything Metal related. I know a shop that has all the necessary materials to do anything metal-related. (Have I said Metal enough?)
I have 1 year of Carpentry training, but it's VERY rusty and limited. So I'd like to stay away from that.
I have no knowledge of how to work Plastic or any other forms of plastic. I know of a hobby shop that sells plastic assembly kits (as in kits that sell sheet plastic FOR assembly.)

And my childhood with my father has taught me everything and EVERYTHING about Duct tape. And of course there's Home Depot.

Thank you kindly, and hey, this is my first post in the Props Forum! Yeah! And has anyone noticed my posts are getting increasingly long?

(And to anyone that's curious, I'm back home for maybe a few months, not sure. All I know is my squadron flew too much so they forced us with time off.)

Not much information has been gathered about the slime blower but people have used rubbermaid garbage cans and coca cola 2-liter bottles. Just about anything that represents the tanks could be used. Norm Gagnon and Ectoman(AJ Quick) have some plans out, just visit gbprops.com, if you already havent.

I already knew about the soda bottle idea. I just need what I asked for, the pumps and stuff.
