I've got an idea on how to get at the wiring for when I build my pack, bu I'd like to know how you access your wiring and lights, unless Zack flies in with a selection of related topics.

My wires go through my Slitloom, into the gun where the toggle switches and batteries are. To replace the batteries I just remove the side panel of my gun. To get to the actual circuit boards I have to take the spacer or upper module off of the motherboard.

Since i use such high voltage in my pack i now had to licence it as a hazardous portable unit and buy the proper warning labels. i use heavier than normal speaker wiring, I have an accessable pannel right below the battery relays where a simple 5amp breaker lies, there is also the complete wiring juntion and a kill switch in case of a malfunction or if the batteries need to be replaced. the round bottom opens up after removing 2 pins to access the strobe in case of replacement as for any other lighting pannel on the pack. the gun itself has another little 5amp fuse opposed to the breaker on the pack to minimize weight and space within the gun. the latch for that item is held with some hidden R clips. its also handy for bulb replacement. since the flaming trap iccident i also have heavily coated all pannels with liquid metal then flame retardent spray in case of fire. (yeah, you laugh all you want! lol) the pack might weigh a ton but thats okay, its not the weight of the pack on my back that bothers me, its the weight that my feet have to hold up all night! (theres the heavily layed down belt i wear too) i need some in-soles for next year *ouch*
im gone.

PS.most of the same above will be used on the re-construction of the trap. smile

I'm in the process of making plans on how to wire up the Powercell (Blue LED thinger), and the Cyclotron with lights. It's a "Quick and Dirty" way to get lights. It's a rather simple way. Involves two things from RadioShack. LED lights with pre-fixed wires and a battery holder that holdes 6 or 8 "AA" Batteries. The LED's are fixed into a cardboard frame beneath the cyclotron and powercells. Positive wire is hooked to the positive end of the battery pack wires. Vice a Versa for the negative. Hide the battery pack in your ALICE Frame. The lights dont do a flashing on and off, but hey it's better than nothing, right? E-mail me at [email protected] if you want the plans when I am done.

If you are going to just rig up lights to stay on, then you might as well go a cheaper route and use $1.00 flashlights and rip them apart.

I found some project boxes at radio shack that gave me and idea. You could mount them on the outside of the motherboard and put the batteries in that.
