You know, everybody's looking at this the wrong way. So long as there's still fans around, an idea/franchise/story will never die. Fans still keep putting out fan fics, playing rpgs, making websites. In my opinion, ghostbusters.net is a testiment to this. Look at all the activity on this site. If the franchise/story/idea was dead, or dying, would there have been anything posted on this thread?

I have one question? dandy? were you even alive for a majority of the 80's? If not, then zip it up fast partner. Ghostbusters was just as Popular as TMNT was. And let me tell you something, all of the projects you mentioned like GBdoom would have never saved ghostbusters if they were completed, because they were not proffesional. They were fan made. Fan's creations mean diddly crap (sorry to anyone out there). They would never spark new life. I have another question, are you even into comic books? because I highly doubt that a Ghostbusters Comic book would go onto a 25 cent rack. And you say that a comic won't spark anything, when in fact the comic is the SPARK! so shut yo trappy Dandy.

This guy keeps compairing Ghostbusters to TMNT. What this guy appearantly doesn't know is that TMNT started out as an independantly published comic book in 1982 printed in black and white. The first drawing of one turtle had a headband and nunchuks STRAPPED to his arms. This comic was said to go nowhere. It spawned 2 cartoons, 1 live action T.V. show, 3 movies, and an actual band that had 2 tours, and tons of toys. Now, if one black and white comicbook could do that for four mutant turtles and a mutant rat back in 82, then what do you think a color one with amazing artists will do for Ghostbusters?

well, it's good you guys have so much faith but i'm actually going to join reality because the reality is ghostbusters is going no where! The franchise is over and that's it, this comic book is going to be short lived...then again I could be wrong...but I doubt it....and this thread does need to be locked
