I beleive it was made in the 80's. I'm having a terrible time finding info on it. I'm starting to collect arcade games and pinball machines, so I figured this would be the perfect addition. I talked to a local collector, he he says he has NEVER seen one in his life, and they must be extremely rare. Anybody know anything about it???
UPDATE: I have decided to convert a regular jamma arcade machine into the Real Ghostbusters arcade game, since they are so rare.

I guess you lucked out cause there was one on ebay a couple of weeks ago for $200. I dont think anyone even bid on it. Sometimes ebay also has just the circuit boards- but i dont think those are much help to most people.

When I click on the thing for the arcade game, it says the page can't be found. What kind of info do you have on it? Any pictures of the cabinet?
I REALLY need to find the auction of the guy trying to get rid of it on Ebay. Anyone please help me if you can!!!

And I'm not interested in downloads or ROMs of it. I have already played it before. I'm just looking for info.

Thanks.
Yes, you can download a ROM of it. I'mn not positive where though. Someone online sent it to me. Its not a bad game... basically you walk through different levels, and shoot ghosts.... thats about it. It has an overhead view which kinda sucks though, but I can get over that since its Ghostbusters..

I think I have it on a cd of mine. It has a lot of older arcade games on it.

They have the arcade game in a little coffee shop in Wyandotte, MI. The owner said he'd sell it for 300.00 I wanted to buy it but didn't have any room for it.It's not that good of a game but for ghostheads it's just fun to play as the guys.

I haven't found any sites with in-depth info on the game but here's the very basics...

Memory serves there were two different cabinets for this game; one that allowed for three players while the other only allowed for two.

Thanks for posting that! I guess I can say my plan that I thought up this morning. I'm going to buy a jamma arcade game to start with. Since the original side art is just white with the ghostbusters logo (prove me wrong if you can. I saw it online). I'm going to buy a new board, a ghostbusters control board, a marquee (please let me win this auction... I really need this for what I'm going to do), and I'll have an instant RGB arcade game. A guy I know collects arcade games, and is trying to get rid of them in the next couple of weeks, so he's going to show me some of his games today.

Stupid me.... Why didn't I check KLOV in the first place??
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=R&game_id=9281
Anyway, I found a great jamma machine today. The guy is getting out of collecting, and will let me have it for $200. I have to wait till my check comes in from Paypal, and double check with my parents before I can get it though. It will only be a 2 player conversion. He had a 3 player machine, but to buy that and get it fixed would of used up my whole budget. I still want to get a dedicated version of Crystal Castles.
Now I need a new overlay, a marquee, and the board for it.
