My vote would have to go to the whole scene along the underground railroad tracks in GB2.
"Winnnnnnnnstonnnnnnn."
Second prize goes to when Stay-Puff looks up at the guys and roars in GB1.

from a childs point of view... hmm I would have to say when dana is in her apartment and light starts to show through the cracks in the kitchen door and that face imprint shows up in the door and the hands break out of her chair and pull dana towards the kitchen... thats my favorite scene, for more than that reason though.

My username!
Maybe the first time you were younger and you didn't know what was going to happen.
I agree. Definetly the abduction of Dana in GB and the slime in the bathtub in GB2! and the heads in the subway! Man, they were scary! I think I'm off to change my pants now!

Well:
GB I: For some odd reason none. But from a kid opint of view: When Dana gets abducted.
GB II: When Vigo enters on Ray. Some people find it scary. I find it scary and funny.
"I am Ray and Vigo rulers of the world..."
lol
And the heads part on GB II...I find that scene so freaking funny. The guy yelling: Ahhh!!!Ahh!!!Ahh!!!!
It's so funny

i agree with Shadow on that one, from a child's point of view that's kinda scary, of course the winnnnnnnnnnnnstonnnnnnnnnnnnnn is plain creepy when you're young.
Shadow, please tell that it's not you favorite scene for the reason i think you're thinking, it's only a brief second that it shows for God's sake!

The "Get her!" library part used to scare me. It was the first ghost I ever remember seeing (as in first "image" of one) and it wasn't a pleasant sight.
However, the ultimate scary scene that still sends chills down my spine, even now, has to be the containment unit shut down.
The shot of New York city, in broad daylight, with hundreds of ghosts escaping looks so eerie. I think it's the fact it's daytime has something to do with it - you don't expect to see ghosts during the day. Also the noise of the containment unit alarm when shutting down - scary stuff because you know what's about to happen.

The transformation of the library ghost from a "sweet old lady" to "demon spawn from hell".
The other scene that would go up on my "scary stuff-o-meter" would be the first time the terror dogs are seen. Cute little pooches? I think not!

I wasn't scared by either. I found every "scary" scene mad cool in how they did it. The library ghost was just hillarious, Stay Puft was impressive (before I got older and started noticing the film imperfections), Vigo wasn't all that tough and Dana getting kidnapped by her own chair...that musta put a serious slump in La-Z-Boy sales that year.
