PS2 Game Features GB Theme
March 13, 2000, 11:26 PM

With console dance games like Bust-a-Groove selling like mad, Sony has wisely released a dance game title for the new PS2 game console. Developed by Jaleco, Stepping Selection requires a player to "dance" along to the music.
The game features a wide variety of tunes, from Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys (shudder) to 80s classics like My Sharona and Girls Just Want to Have Fun. It also features the Ghostbusters theme. It's not known if the track is the Ray Parker, Jr. version (though it's probably a re-recording by a studio band). It does appear that unlike Britney and the Boys, who get video footage of themselves in the game, there is no movie or video footage for GB. Check out this IGN article for more info on the PS2 and Stepping Selection (including a hilarious clip of some guy playing the game using a dance pad).
There is no release date for North America yet (a moot point since the machines haven't even been released here yet).
Thanks to GBHQ and Nick for the rebound. Check out GBHQ for a great screenshot.
