We're now about a month away from the release of the Ecto-1 snap-together model kit by Polar Lights and the company has released some new shots of the prototype - This kit just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. Some of the old prototype pics have been removed (you can see the little images below and a few remain on the website), but the company replaced them with pics of a painted prototype Check out the new pics here.

Looks great, and more details about the kit have been revealed, including that it doesn't need painting. That's not to say a more advanced model maker can't paint and detail the kit as they like, but it will be more accessible for less experienced hobbyists.
