Dr. Gabriel Angelo Martin was an archeologist before he became a ghostbuster. He was studying a lead on one of King Khufu's chief priests. While at the dig site one night, the seal on the priest's chamber was broken, releasing a hoard of undead creatures that went rampant, dragging members of the dig team into the tombs, never to be heard from again. Dr. Martin was the only survivor. Miraculously, Gabe was found right outside of Cairo, passed out from dehydration. The ordeal took its toll on Dr. Martin, however. it left him with silver hair, and a haggard appearence, making Gabe look almost twice as old as he really is! When Gabe went back to the states, he found the ghostbusters. Not only that, but a franchise branch was being run by a college friend of his, none other than Dr. Vincent Belmont! Gabe has been Vincent's partner ever since.
