If you're building your pack from wood here is a suitable supply list for you

Tip For: Proton Pack
Written By: ecto-3

1.1/4" thick Lauan Plywood 2' x 4' x 1/4" thick piece Lauan Plywood
This material is a very flexible board, but very stiff when cut down to size. This should be enough board to help you through your project.
2. A 2" Wide white PVC pipe about 10-15" longThis pipe is only used once on the pack and that is in the booster assembly, the only reason you should buy this much pipe is incase you decide to use it more anywhere else on the pack and dont worry. Its Cheap.

3. 2 Pieces of Oak board atleast 25" Long and 14" Wide
The measurements for the boards may vary depending on how much your measurements are off, if you're un-sure take your measurements to the hardware store with you and decide for yourself, but Oak is an excellent, sturdy material.

4. "Glue on Paneling" Thin sheets
This material is basically very thin sheets of wood commonly used is household construction or repair. If you're having trouble finding this material ask an assistant about wood that is flexible and thin enough to wrap, they may or may not know what you're talking about so if you don't have any luck you may have to improvise. You'll be using this as the "connector" between the top and bottom of the spacer.

5. Balsoum Wood 1 1/2" wide and 1/2" thick (varies)
This wood is not commonly found in your ordinary hardware stores, so check with your local lumber yards to see where you can find it. Usually you can find this wood at a lumber yard or a crafts store. This wood is very soft and easy to use, that is why I've chosen it as a perfect material for the cosmetic plating on the bottom of the spacer.

6. Wood Putty or "Plastic Wood"
You want to find a decent can of wood putty as you will be filling cracks that dont get much air, after all drying is a major thing is this project. Acheiving a full smoothness after you're done is exactly what you want and wood putty will help you get there.

7. 3/8" Brads
You will need a nail gun to achieve the proper effect using these brads, hammers will only ruin this. The brads will staple the spacer together and you may need them for the rest of the pack, probably on the Gearbox. Be sure to buy plenty of these.

8. Epoxy Resin
Epoxy is the number one glue you want to use when gluing resin casted parts to your pack, considering not all of the parts on your pack will be wood. Epoxy(depending on the brand) can either be cheap or expensive but a must have. The glue hardens in 15 secs and turns to a plastic like state ensuring a permenant hold on almost any surface.

9. Wood Glue
Here is the part where you come in, choosing the right glue is up to you. There are over a million brands of this stuff and the only thing that stands in your way is pricing and how strong it is. The choice is yours, but I personally reccommend "Gorilla" glue, its strong and cost effective.

10. 2 Pine 2x4's 31/2"x 8ft.
2x4's are essential pieces when building your pack because they can be just about anything, for instance the Ion Arm assembly, the EDA box, and the Gearbox. When you first buy the would you'll have to run it through a planer to acheive an even smoothness so that when you fit your piece together it will actually fit!

11. Black Pushbuttons
A little pushbutton will do but they come in packages of 4(depending on where you buy them from). The pushbutton doesnt really do anything its just there for looks unless you want it to do something. If you plan to put this button to good use then you better make sure you're getting an On/Off pushbutton.

12. 1/4" Black Wire Loom
This size wire loom can be a hard item to find so you would have better luck on the internet ordering it from someone or something. This wire loom plays a big role in adding effect to the pack so be sure to have a pair of scissors and plenty of this stuff on hand.

13. 3/4 Black Wire Loom 7ft. total
This Wire Loom will connect your gun to your pack. In order to keep this stuff stiff and stable when you connect your gun to your pack buy 7 feet of 3/4" vinyl tubing which will go right inside to actually give the wire loom shape. You dont have to use vinyl tubing instead you could actually strand wires inside and let the hose stay cracked open in some points to add extra effect. Radio Shack is an excellent place to find this wire loom.

14. 1/4" and 3/4" Pneumatic Hose (Red,Green,Yellow, and Blue)
Here is another item that is hard to come by, but if you look hard enough you can find it. Look in the tool isle of your local hardware store where they keep air compressors and their assecories. If you cant find it try asking Got Maul or Norman Gagnon.

15. 3 Old Style Legris pneumatic elbows -pictures-
These older style pneumatic elbows are extremely hard to find since hardware stores dont carry them anymore, however, Grainger carries an elbow similar to the legris but not quite as the same. Try asking around the ASAP Ghostbusters Prop board if you're still having no luck. Grainger charges $17.50 just for one elbow and they have no bulk discounts

16. 3 Clippard Brass Hexagons -Pictures-
You probably have to order these items from Clippard Industries if you have no luck at your local hardware store. The hexagons are made up of two different pieces, the hose barb, and the female connector. These two ship seperately and vary in price by a dollar. Visit Clippard Search for Brass fittings.

17. Size 10 HeadCap Screws
You'll need only a few of these to put on the Ion Arm assembly or any other part you may want them on. Buy at your own descretion, I'm not sure of the price and you may have to buy these in a box so there will be left overs.

18. 1 LC-2 A.L.I.C.E. Pack Frame
You'll be mounting the finished pack onto this frame. These can be costly so bargain hunting is a very good idea if you're on a budget. You also want to use dry wall screws to mount the pack on the frame and remember the pack sets kind of high on the frame so it comes close to the middle of your neck, remember that. Also you'll need the foam pipe insulation and some pull ties that will go around the top of the frame for, you guessed it, neck padding.

19. 4-5 feet of Ribbon CableYou can find the ribbon cable just about anywhere on the internet because everybody is selling it. There are two types of ribbon cable used to build the GBs 1 Proton Packs and the GBs 2 Proton Packs. The cable used in the first movie is a lighter and wider cable. The cable used in the second movies is thinner and darker(more colorful)

Some things may be similar to those on other supplies lists, however, I've made a few hand selections and added some tips INCASE!! you need them. This list is courtesy of The East Tennessee Prop Shop "Prop till you Drop"
