The 2 Bar lights on the Ecto-1 were Code 3 Force 4 XL 54" bars. Normal Squad car sized bars will not be wide enough for an Ecto.. The Ecto-1 had them lensed in blue and the speaker grille was present.

The 2 Halogen Bar lights on the Ecto-1a were also Code 3 Force 4 XL 54" bars, but they were converted to "All light" bars. (No Speaker in the center) They were lensed in Clear with colored bulbs. The Ecto-1a Also included a Whelen Edge 9000 Series Strobe Bar, and a Whelen Arrow Stick in the rear..
