Does anyone know how they got those amazing effects for the ghosts? I see they have model's and stuff but what else do they do?
Thanks,

Well I know in real life they do it by bouncing light off of mirrors making a ghostlike image on another mirror.
But I'm not sure exactly what they did for the movies....
I'm guessing that Slimer and all of the other ghosts were filmed seperately on a blue screen alowing multiple things to be done. This could then be placed into the shot and look translucent (if they wanted it to be). They did the same thing for the Star Wars series (aka dead Obi Wan Kenobi)
Dunno if this helps any.

Yeah, the ghost puppets were filmed separately than superimposed on the filmed footage to allow for various effects.

Yea, they film it separately in front of blue or green screens, and then they use a program, such as Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premeir to superimpose the image and change the opacity so the ghost seems transparent.
