Alright, opening credits to GB1 you can actually read the title. but with GB2 its just a symbol. wouldve been better with an actual title at the beginning of the film.

Well, I guess it could look cool with GHOSTBUSTERS II underneath, but it's never really bothered me. The logo speaks for the movie, unlike in the first one where you couldn't learn the title from the logo.

Yeah, I mean, how could people know what the name of the movie was?...What with it being so original and all...

Or it could have been the title, with the logo replacing the O.

Yeah, but I don't think It would have made a difference. People knew what movie they were going to see when they bought the ticket. It would only take a really dense person to not know.
Dense person, "Uh, yeah, um I'd like to see that movie with the ghost sticking its fingers at me."

Yeah, that's right. I mean, it's weird...all these movies have these beginnings where they try to keep you guessing what it is before the title...and yet we're watching the movie 'cause we know what it is.

Man, great question. It's never really bothered me, but then again of course, but I knew what the movie was anyways.

I never really bothered to wonder over why they chose just the no ghost logo with it holding up two fingers instead of an actual title. I can see where your coming from, but not like anything can be done about it since the film came out 14 years ago (if my math is correct, lol).

Actually, I think it was more creative. Every movie just flashes a title. But when ya got a symbol you can recognize, might as well use it. I mean, take Batman...if not for the second half of the sequel titles, they coulda just flashed a bat symbol and I don't think it'd matter.
