i mean i know they were really lame in the old series but donald has the egon look, that blonde girl could be hot in the new one, and Jason could resemble a hazel colored Peter almost! what do yall think of this idea?
If you were to age them correctly they were around 10 in 1988 or so so they would be around 24 or 25 i think it would be a awesome idea and im a sketch artist and have already drawn up the characters!
so tell me what yall think of the possiblities of this being cool?
-Their no longer kids with fears of the unexplained...
-They have no one to look up to anymore neither does any other kid in this dark place we call earth...
-The heroes of the past are gone and now the only defense left against the legions of the super natural are the apprentices of the heroes that once were
they are....

Well, I'd think that Jr has to go. But the series sounds pretty good. But the guys have to still be there, even if their retired. It'd be like the real extreme GBs.

On the one hand, there is a certain logic to it. They know the Ghostbusters and have some experience at dealing with their problems...
The main problem is that the Junior Ghostbusters carry the stench of their origins as contrived shoehorned in "so the kiddies have someone to 'identify' with" characters. They rank in the unpopularity pole right between the Extreme Ghostbusters and the Filmation Ghostbusters.
But who knows? The right writer could make that idea work.

I don't know alot of people weren't crazzy for the jr. gb's nither was I but it would have made more sense if they used them instead of the extreme ghostbusters.

I was never a big fan of the episodes they were featured in,seeing them grown up and busting ghosts might work though. It would just have to be done B4 I gave an full opinion on the matter.

i had a smilar idea and they were teenagers but i could never figure out how they got the proton packs....

Although they were somewhat lame they did have a direct link to the ghostbusters and grew up only blocks away from the firehouse!(they could have easily trained under them) Egon had already taught donald at age ten to work the PKE meter so this is like someone said more reasonable then Egon's students at a University(Kylie and the EGB's) i really like the idea and i am a Advanced Prep artist at my high school going to a art college so i am working on the sketches for this possibilty just because it is fun!(if anyone else is interested in maybe writing stories for this and me doing like a art work for every 3 pages of the story let me know!(danamarkclan@aol.com) it has reason to it and they all are good lookin kids you could easily fix them up.
Jason-the womanizer and the layed back peter attitude buster(no scientist though just there for the chicks and the ride)
donald-the scientist just a red headed knowledge geek the egon figure.
the girl(dont know here name)-the beautiful ghostbuster(like janine intelligent and blonde the ultimate woman-doesnt really happen intelligent and blonde but its a cartoon)- this is the ultimate combo and like another guy said the old ghostbusters would no longer be ghostbusting they would be working as businessman
Egon-still in the firehouse making ghost busting tools. He lives off the primises though with his wife Janine. It is around the year 2004
Peter- a comedian scientist hosts meetings on the paranormal(a scientist by dad a jerry seinfield by night0
Ray-still works with egon on occation he has a beard now and is a pilot/homemaker with is wife who is a art for disney(ray and her love cartoons)
Winston-engineer still works on Ecto occationally over the years has developed a series of ghostbusting rides there is now over 10 Ecto lines
not to mention he has recently invented the newer still of the cadillac for cadillac magazines.
this is a basic idea for the story line that i have they all work together i say lets "X" out the whole extreme ghostbusters crap and just leave off where the series left off in 1993 and start over with new lives and occupations! from 1993-to peters comedian job and Egons marriage in 1995
to winstons all day inventing job from 1994-2004
and rays marriage along with egons in the winter of 1995
they all still keep up with each other through a loop it would be classic!!!
(they would get together only during chaotic supernatural occurances)
i really like this idea let me know what yall think?

It is offical just for fun i am starting sketchs for the JR. GB'S and i have a team of me and other advanced art students from my school and in this area(TN) that will be helping me we are going to put together some sketches of the basic characters. I am going to try to age the people right to the ages of 23-25. Donald will resemble---Drew Carry!
Jason will resemble---tom cruise darker though
girl will resemble---meg ryan
those are my pics and im going to also include the orginal cast aged to their 40's! the youngest buster is around 38 or 39 years old so they are going to look older!
This may eventually extend to a short story/art work book!(book with pictures for each fan fic!)
This is going to be classic plus like one of those guys said it makes way more sence to have this than the Extreme Ghostbusters(no association to movie or cartoon)
(Sketches Come Out around July of this year!!!!!!)

I gotta admit, you got some interesting ideas there (anyone who writes Egon and Janine as married gets extra credit from me)
But I thought Jason was the nerd with the red flat top, and Donald was the wisecracking Latino(?) one...
