Good choices there. T2 is an action classic. Ghostbusters...obviously. Matrix is great, but it's become over blown in my opinion. I liked the first idea of that concept...aka-"Dark City". Fight Club...very good choice. Dumb and Dumber...ok on my book, but I wouldn't have it in any of my top 5.

When I judge my favorite movies, I base them on 2 factors. If the film touched me (either emotionally or my funny bone) and repeat viewability. Based on those, these are my top 5.

1.)BTTF trilogy
2.)The Professional
3.)Ghostbusters
4.)Edward Scissorhands
5.)Casino

Some close runners are Ace Ventura, Aliens, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Finding Nemo, Shrek, Scent of a Women, original StarWars trilogy, etc...too many movies.
