Well, atleast he gave me some credit. I'm kinda happy about that. I usually never get noticed by anyone on this site. So I guess I'd liek to say thanks Brian for recognizing me in the tiniest way. but maybe you should keep these posts on the low key. It's not exactly something some one should do when they get unbaned. Maybe if youw anted. . .i dunno. . .a few months, then it would have been ok.

I dont fear chad. nor do i look up to him, I look at him. meaning were all equals here webmasters of the hottests sites or not. thats what makes these (most of them) countries great, Equality. and another message board? sure. go for it. make the community stronger.  its not about competition. its about the love for the game. you dont have to get nasty to get your point across, you just have to be resonable. one clean rant is more than enough to recive replies and get a decent conversation going. each board has its own set of rules that have to be followed accordingly. weather you like them or not. some may question webmasters actions at times on several different sites at times, but place yourself in that persons shoes. it isnt easy to make some decisions in life. especially when you have several hundered members to think about first. I know it wouldnt be easy for me either. but something weve been craving is finally on its way. personally (if i was banned or not) im really quite thankful dispite my negitive emotions on not knowing what was going on at first. it was worth it to me. so dudes, try to relax a little. please.

not only are all webmasters equal, EVERYONE is equal. so far, chad has done nothing to gain my respect except for creating this site, which means nothing more than that he is a good at building pages.

It feels good to be on that list, thanks Brian! I have to agree that we need to keep the community together, but I also agree that it does not revolve around GBN...

GB Freak, things like these can't wait. Look what we have accomplished already. Chad has put a "Discover A New Ghostbusters Site" link at the top of the page. Really, it should have been there all along, but the point is that it's there now. Why did Chad do it? He didn't tell me. He made no comments about my ideas for a true comunity board, and he didn't reply to my questions about it.
He did it, most likely, because people are starting to voice their opinions. And that is what this thread is all about (although he claimed that I was only trying to start trouble). And so he too is worried about the state of GBN, even if he's not willing to admit it.
Sinister, you're darn right the community doesn't revolve around GBN!

Twister, Ghostbusters.net doesn't represent some of the most important members of the Ghostbusters Community!
Do you know who Sheila Paulson is? I have never once seen her post on these boards, and yet, she has done more for the community than 99% of the people here, myself included.
There are many more examples. GBN is just one site out of thousands, that happens to get more publicity because of a message board, that was handed down to Chad from someone else. Every day some of the best Ghostbusters sites on the internet are closing because no one cares. Everyone just comes to this message board.
Chad has been given the majority of publicity, and he should be equally sharing it with everyone. The new link at the top of the site is a good start, but more needs to be done.

Hey,
I'm a total newb here, I only joined like, oh 2 weeks ago.. But I don't really understand where you gys are coming from. The community here seems to be pretty healthy. You guys banter, there are good eggs and bad eggs, and eggs that talk a lot and then some that just stay in their shells.. (sorry for that terible metaphor)
In any community you're going to have problems with apathy, at my University only 23% or so of students vote in student union elections, and even though we've had huge controversy over certain uses of the student budget, still no one cares.
Every community has its cycles of apathy and participation. You will always have certain people participating more than others. And if people only want to discuss who their favorite ghostbuster is, let em. At least they want to post something. Some may only come to read what other people say. I think that there is something to having certain people banned for short periods of time. Sometimes if they're being rude it'll help them think over it. (Time out's still work when you're older.)
You all have to remember that as an online community, there are people here who are all different ages, from all sorts of places. That's what makes it interesting.

I've been thinking about this. A message board linked from a bunch of sites would be cool. But, I don't think that this one should be it. This is Chad's board that he registered for his site, and I think that it should stay with this site.

Read my reads! This is Chad's site and he can do what ever he wants, he paid for .net, his paying for the server. So stop bashing chad this site is only part of the Gb's community just go to www.google.com and type in Ghostbusters theres alot of fans out there with site and im getting ticked off at u guys and girls. I dont know how i can get this across your heads but Chad does not own Ghostbusters and he gets no money from Sony nor any money from cast or crew members to keep this site open so stop being a cry baby and go post on your site or NS b/c just image if a crew or cast member came to the boards and saw us fightning over a little thing. So once again please leave this place if u hate it and dont let the door hit ur butt on the way out! Good Day!
