Two years ago, probably more, the industry crossed goats with spider? This kind of spider cobweb is specialy resistant. Why they did that is to obtain a hard bullet proof vest that can resist higher fire power but also knife, from what they said. The goat milk contain the silk for the product. This milk need to be filter and treated to obtain the silk.

Some laboratory made artificial skin. This skin can bleed and regenarate by itself. Its plastic or vinyl (im not sure, is it resine?). It have the same texture of natural skin. Laboratory also made a new type of blood. It is a substitute created with a vegetal called alfalfa or lucerne. It is rich in hemoglobin and will maybe be use for transfusion in the futur, from what they said.

An hearth implant cost around 10,000$. In the futur, if you need an implant, maybe it'll be free... if they find one on a death at the morgue. In mexico, if im not wrong, its already appening. The implant is cleaned, sterelized and tested. Most come from Canada. A benevolent doctor does it cose it'll cost to much otherwise (money worth more than us... and they say we live in the new milleneum? Still darkage to me). But like any implant, they dont guaranty it'll work.

I read about the goat-spider thing in some magazine, I think, but the skin is confusing me. How does it bleed or regenerate if it's artificial? Things have to be alive in order to regrow, I'm told, and artifical materials wouldn't have any fluids to bleed out, I would think.
The sheer ethical catastrophe that could be spawned by the take-heart-from-mourge deal, not to mention the legal tangle that might spring up if someone gets infected from a manky heart, makes me wince.
Nonetheless, interesting post.
