im prob gonna sound like a dick here, but i think that its just wrong to advertise something for a site when that site dont like the site it is gonna psot and advertise on...personaly ill stay at gbn
the site says Ghostbusters.net hurts the competition, true maybe it does sometimes, but evertime it has, its usly cuz they attacked gbn first.
"Chad Paulson, Ghostbusters.net's webmaster, claims to be losing interest in his site. In truth, he has. The site has dwindled without any major fixes, most of which have long been needed."
yea he hasent been working on gbn latly, excuse him for having a real life, hes starting a new company up, u cant excpet him to do everything at once. and he has been working on some new parts of gbn to improve mod power and letting mods appove props, fan fics, and links.
"Mods seem to be leaving Ghostbusters.net in droves. Why? They don't like Chad's way of running things " this one is the wrost of all, some of them left cuz of chad, some of them left cuz they dident like all the fighting going on, u ppl have no clue how man e-mails we get a day of ppl just complinging, and for a mod to say hes sick of it and complines is jsut a hippicrite, cuz hes not staying on to try and keep the peace.

In fact, the rules are so stifling, one cannot speak out against certain ideas/rules/etc. without fear of retaliation" ppl are free to speak out agenst idea/rules/ect as long as there not trying to start a big agrument and can speak about it like induviduals

" yes this is a rule, but dont misread it, it means dont try and help them cuz troble at gbn, ur free to tlak to whoever u want.

fraknly, i dont even think there is a commuity right now, a commuity grows, we just keep going around in circles, we fight about the smae thing, over and over and over, for crying out loud its the freaking internet, who gives a crapwhat ppl think, u dont like this site, fine leave go to antoehr, but dont try to invole ur sites with gbn, all u ppl that hate gbn and try and destory it, u are beign what u claim chad to be, uall say gbn is bad for the communtiy but u all are what is bad, ur trying to destroy it more.
also i love the "Point users to either Proton Charging" proton charging message bored is gbn's

just blowing off steam, ive been under a lot of pressur latly, guess it finaly everything just got to me. it jsut dont make sense, ghostbusters.tk dont like gbn, yet they post on gbn to advertise something for there site

Be fair, sg1star. You quoted almost every item except the first one:

Indeed, if Chad really wanted a community, and not just something that looks good on his resumé, why would he hide the links to all the other pages? And don't try to claim that the fact that there is a links page is proof that he does support the community. It's not right. He has seriously hurt the community.
You guys like to complain about all the repeat posts and stuff. But if people are posting "Where can I find...?" over and over again, doesn't that signal the need for some sort of change? Doesn't that mean that maybe, if there was a good links section, and if it was easy to find, people wouldn't have that problem
Chad is afraid of the competition, no question about it. More than that, he knows that GBN is nothing more than a glorified message board. He knows that without it GBN would be nothing. Make no mistake, this site is nothing more to Chad than a good point on his resumé, and we're nothing more to him than a flock of sheep to be herded.
P.S. If what you say is true sg1star, than this topic should not be deleted or locked, and I should not be banned, because I am talking about these issues in a civilized manner.
EDIT:: As far as us posting here, even though we have a problem with this site. Well, there's no way around that. Thanks to Chad's way of running things, this is the only way to reach the vast majority of Ghostheads. Unfortunately, that's the way it is.

ok, so some links dont make the link page, maybe he was to busy maybe he over looked them, but that prob should change soon, he is givng the power to approve links to antoehr mod. so that solves that prob.

ok yes were compling, but what good would a better link section do, that just links to other site, the prob with ppl posting the smae stuff over and over, is not about sites, its stuff like " who would u choose in a fight" "whos ur fav gb" and so on, and hes updated the search engine to help with that prob some.

u just got though saying chad did nto care about this site anymore, y would he care about comeptition? also ever site that he ahd had a prob with started soemthign wtih him first, the gbfan page, they came to gbn and started stuff wtih chad, trying to get ppl to go to tehre site and leave gb net, some of the stuff they were saying is lies, i got nothing wrong with ppl saying the truth, but lies is wrong. the gbprops thing, chad and ectoman dont get along, but he still has his link in the link section, another thing about the gbfan page, chad adn bobby did work out a agreemnt, to leave each toehr alone, but ppl form here keep seding hate mail to gbfans, so they closed down, it was not chads fault. which brings up antoehr thing, if ur link dont make the link section theres nothing stoping u form putting it in ur message bored sig, let ppl know about ur site that, way , more ppl see it that way then in the link section.

hellow chad site he can run this site the way he want, what does that have to do wtih other ppl sites? he cant do nthing aobut them so how can u say the way hes running things. he runs his site.

It's not just about our site not making the links page. It's about the way he treats the links page. It's at the bottom of every page, in the fine print! I would bet you that half the users on this site don't even know about the links section.

it dont matter to chad if this is the number one site or not, its not up to chad what palce this site is in its upt ot the fans, they dont like it dont come, simple as that. besides, on a resume when they look at a site they dont look at how many ppl view it they look at the qualty of it, blaming chad for the way he runs his site, is jsut childish, blaming chad for other ppl sites not amking it, is wrong, its not chads fault. as i siad befor dont like it stay out of his site.

and besides all this, i have never seen chad once use gbn and create a page, that tells users not to go to a site, like all tehse other ppl do.

People Chad is a good person and has all right not to update this site, his paying big bucks to keep it open 24/7 and he doesnt make a single cent profit from this site. So please stop bashing Chad. Also he did update it with news if it wasnt from him we woulnt know nothing. Also Chad is making his own company and that takes alot of time and money away, but i promise u after his new company starts he'll update this site with links and props.

no chad is not hurting the community hes nto the one posting on his stie telling fans not to go to other sites. if anyone hurtuing the community tis u for trying to break it up. i ahve ntohign wrong with there beint mutilple sties there could be 100's of sites wtih messagebores for all i care, ppl will go to teh ones they want. chad has never siad anything bad about a site unless they attacked him first.
