the movies ,the show,the books
i rented the movie and wow just wow
so any of you guys like the movies
i'm thinking about painting my face like in the movies and going as the crow for halloween (i know its june but its not too soon to start think about these kind of things)

Was disguised as the crow some years ago. I must say I adopted that costume for 3 years. Then I changed for Gene Simon's Demon during 2 years. I became very tired of cleaning my face after each party. I must say halloween live during 3 days for me. One day I discovered I could do my own prop and took that costume since then.
I just loved the crow but it lost a lot of potentiel (personnal view). I saw only the first movie. I think they made a mistake by doing other movie. It wasted the spiritual side.
It even became a tv series! The crow was a prisoner in one episod, scientist was studying him. They discovered the crow was independent from Eric Draven and took possession of his body when the situation need to. Somekind of Dr Jekyl and Mr Hide or something like that. That almost made me sick. I dont know how long the seires survived.
Well, its a product like anything else and the industry want to make money, they dont realy care about the integrity of the character. I saw that a lot of time. You know what's the funny part in this post? The first movie played one or two days ago! 
But I dint watched it to the end. The crow was nothing but a flying star to me. Sorry to say that. But it was great during his time.

I like Brandon Lee's Crow the best, of course. He brought something to the character that no one else has. It's always someone different that has died (except for the abysmal tv sewries). Lee was great in the roll, plus he was sexy!

Well, Its pretty obvious what my opinion on this movie is before I even say it. Take a look to the left of the screen and you'll see why To anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet,...watch it. You won't be disappointed.

I thought The Crow was a great movie, but the comic book it was based on was much better. Most people never really read the Crow comics, if you can find them anywhere I definately recommend that you do. One of my favorite series is The Crow: Dead Time.
As for dressing up as the Crow for Halloween, go for it dude. I did, you can see me in Crow make-up at my website. (Click Here I also wrote a cool poem about the movie version of The Crow which can be seen here.

I liked the Crow, the first movie. I didnt care for the sequels. Hey, Winston( Ernie Hudson) is in the Crow. I forgot about that

i love the crow! last halloween me and my firned dressed up as eric and ashe, and we went through school like that and the teachers tried to kick us out of class but the principal said we looked cool cuz we were quoting crow scenes and walking like them...i can wait till the 4th movie comes out

To answer someone's last question about what type of face paint to use for the crow makeup, its pretty simple and cheap...
White clown makeup for the white background, and a black oil pastel marker for the black around the eyes. For the lips, its best to use black lipstick or black eyeliner to avoid smearing when you draw in the lines moving away from the mouth. When you apply the makeup, draw in the black around the eyes and the lipstick lines first. Next, apply the white clown makeup around the black.
Note: Do not cross the black and white paint or you will get the color grey. Its almost impossible to fix that mistake after its been done.
