well well well , it seems the time has finally come .for a long time now i've noticed that one of my most used catch phrases was being used on gbn ,i didn't want to impose because it would seem that i was trying to steal it (tho i've been using it since the late 80's to fill in uncomfortable silences ) now the member that was using it is gone and i have only one thing to say
*clears throat
I LIKE PIE !!!!!
i've always liked pie ,and i will continue to like pie ! it's mine now ! bwah ha ha ha ha ha , all mine !

hmmm..Jay says that all the time....he told me he did it before that person...but you clearly were saying it before him....lol....

Pie is most definately good, though in the unlikely chance he comes back he's gonna want it back.

i don't care if he wants it back , it's been mine longer , i was just nice about it because he'd been using it here as his signature and i didn't want to look like i was stealing someone elses material , but since it's not his then too bad for him . like i said , i've been using it since the late 80's. besides , if i cared what he thought then gbn wouldn't be any fun , and i'm generally pretty nice to everyone on here . hence why i'm here liking pie ,and he's ..... well who cares where he is ?

Well, I can't say that you 'invented' the phrase... I have heard that line in a couple movies and shows. Plus, it also depends on the connotation of the word 'pie'.
It almost like a board member saying "Nobody can use the quote 'Back off man, I'm a scientist' because its mine, I'm using it!"
Not to be mean, but it seems a little odd to get so urked over it that you'd have to announce it to the board that you were 'taking your phrase back'. And knowing Bo, he would feel the same way; big deal.
This issue really isn't that important.

i never said i was taking it back , i just said it's mine now . he was using it , now he's not here , so i'm using it ....the fact that i wasn't using it before was out of common courtesy . but i say it all the time in real life , so now i don't have to think of something else to say when something is boring me without looking like i'm copying bo . did that make sense ? regardless this post is just a window in to what i think is funny . it's not a serious post , i'm not telling people my dog died , i'm pretending that this means alot to me as a joke ....get it ? also i'm not claiming that i invented it , i just use it alot , and i don't like looked at like i'm copying someone . so now with no pie liking compitition i'm free to use it without people thinking i want to be like bo or something .besides , i hardly ever post my own threads .....it gave me something to do , and obviously it gave you something to do ....be happy , we're doing stuff !

actually, it was protoncharger's way before you. then from what i remember bo took it, because bo is cool. ive never once seen you say it at all.
im also in agreeance, that this was a lame topic. an im surpised stuff like this lasts this long on this site.

#1 haven't talked to proton charger , and i've never seen him say it
#2 i have never seen bo be "cool" ,infact every time our paths crossed we got in a fight about whatever the subject was , normally resulting in him trying to insult me
#3 read my previous posts on this thread to see why you've never seen me say it
and finally #4 jeeze people , it's a joke , some of you people take things way too seriously , thats why crap stays on these boards so long

venkmen.. I like you, your a cool guy, and for me to like you is really saying something because I only like a select few. but Bo is my main man and im going to have to step up in his defense, *clears throat* since bo is no longer apart of GBN I Shadow_weaveR have taken the title LIVING LEGEND of GBN and all property belonging to said title, that being said I LIKE PIE is now property of me until Bo Holbrook... if Bo Holbrook returns, at which point the title and phrase will be graciously handed back to him... so I LIKE PIE will NOT!! be used by you, or any other member of this board until further notice, and if it is used, it will be used in poor taste by said individual, and shame will be cast upon you. good day sir.

but in all truthfulness if he stole it from proton charger then proton charger should really be the one who decided who on gbn gets it . but it's good to see someone actually got that it was a joke . the point is he's gone and i'm happy  and if he comes back then fine , we don't like eachother anyway . he can keep his pie , honestly i like cheesecake more than pie , even tho it's a pie cleverly hiding behind the guise of a cake .....but thats not the point is it ?
