i'm sick of people making fun of me for my weight problem so i'm goin to start working out building up my arms and abs. wish me luck

Hey dont worry about people saying stuff about you, thats no excuss to get into shape, but if you want to then i wish you the very best of luck. I myself dont know what its like to slim down because iv worked out all my life and i am really tonned up, but i do suggest that you go jogging 3 or 4 times a week, eat plenty of fruit veg and meat, You need certain protein as well Potatoes are good.

If your going to use weights then dont use heavey weights as you are slimming down to start with. Your best bet is jogging and doing excisises.

that's a good idea, i myself love to hit the weights and benched 265 lbs at my best last year (i've slacked a lot this year cause of college) but i still go running on the indoor track. getting your abs built up is the hardest part, if you're looking to get a six pack it's harder than most would think. and after you get them it's even harder to keep. but good luck

everyone should do the same, get off the boards for a few hours a week and work out some.

Another thing. Don't eat any Chocolate or Candy Bars until you've slimmed down (If you ever eat them again, that is. tongue ). Not only do they add to weight, they cause acne breakouts. REALLY bad acne breakouts. tongue wink

Here's what I do:

Pyramids:

Start with 10 push-ups. Then recover, stretch a minute, but don't wait long.
Do 9 more, recover
then 8, etc.

When you hit 3, do triangle push-ups, with your hands underneath you, making a triangle.

Then try doing sit-ups. If you can only do one, force yourself to do two. Then stop.

After you work out, stretch.

You'll be sore for a few days. But it'll get easier as you go.

The next day, do the two sit-ups again. If you can't do three yet, maintain the two.

Every time you do this, try for the third. Give it your best shot.

Also, do curls with small 15-25 lb weights.

You can add tone to your arms like that.

Have Gator-Ade or Power-Ade on hand for the middle of the rode if you are sweating, and for the end of it. Or drink lots of water.

remember to have perfect form when doing the puch-ups. This will take a while to get used to, but once you have it down, you'll become a push-up machine.

I recommend starting out by doing this stuff daily for 3 weeks. Through all of the sore pains and inability to move. Make sure that you play something loud while working out. Also, go running for Cardio-Vascular work out. Again, start on shorter distances. This will be a great step in forming the newer, slimmer, stronger man that you desire to become.

Just remember this though: You are doing this for YOU, not for THEM. Do this so that YOU can feel better about yourself, and not to please some jerks that don't know what it takes to live your life. Be prepared to buy a belt or two. I started workin out about 3 weeks ago, and my pants no longer stay up already. And I am a lot stronger, and look it.

that's pretty close to the work out i did, my favs were benching, jammer, pyramids, competition, and tricepts.

i don't know what jammers are, but here's how i lost 50 lbs in the last 3 months:
eat cereal for breakfast,(preferably rice krispies with a banana)
eat a good lunch, ( i have a sandwich on wheat, mostly hebrew national salami)
and a dinner( i mostly cook with lots of onions and garlic, it lowers cholesterol and blood sugar levels if your a diabetic)
after that i walk a mile after dinner/ or when i get a break during the day at work.

i used to lift weights and was playing football. i had to be able to press my weight, so i was lifting 340 with my arms, and 860 with my legs( i have tree trunks for ankles)

anyway here's what i have been doing and i hope someone else can take this and modify it to their own needs, but it's worked for me, hopefully it'll help someone else wink
