Whats your opinion on "Reality" television programs?

Personally i think they suck. TV is about escaping the real world for a few moments in a day. leave reality to the news.

I think they suck also, just look Married by America last night nobody said yes they all said no thats what they get for people choosing there mates

The only reality shows worth watching are MTv's "The Real World" and "Road Rules". Stick with the originals and you'll be happy. Anything else is crap or a carbon copy.

Its reality shows that are pushing out shows like *ahem* clone high. There are times however, when it is neccessary to watch other people act like idiots for money. It makes one feel like an Albert Einstein or even an Egon Spengler compared to them.

Obviously you guys have never seen Cheaters!!! If I thought my man was cheating on me, I'd call them. People are SO stupid! One woman got served divorce papers right there for cheating with her boss. A guy had his things tossed out the house and his mom yelled at him, Never let another woman drive your girl's car and never take your mistress to the mall cause your girl might be there with her sister.

I think that there is no point to them. And how are some of them really like real life. How many times do you have 25 chicks that you can date with all with a snap of your fingers.

They suck. The only one that I ever watched that even remotely counts as a reality show was that NBC one Dog Eat Dog. But that had more to do with the host than anything else.

Reality Tv is horrible. All the shows are fixed as well as corny.

I can't wait for the reality TV fad to be over. Except, I'm not sure why. We all know that reality TV is incredibly stupid, and yet, the rest of TV isn't much better.
Reality TV is NOT pushing Clone High off the air. The general lack of intelligence in the North American people is pushing Clone High off the air.
Take a look at any sitcom currently airing. If it follows the "Friends model" than it will be sure to have a nice, long life. If, however, it does something original, ie. The Tick, Clerks, Family Guy, etc., it is sure to fail, maybe not even last a full season.

I wouldn't classify Candid Camera as a reality show. It doesn't immediately come to mind when you think of reality TV. I think that's mainly because Candid Camera orginiated in a different era.
Reality TV sucks. How many frigging Survivors do we need? How many variations of Joe Millionare and the Bachelor have we seen? When will it end!?

Reality shows...the crack of television!
Reality shows stink in and of themselves, it's true, but Agent-D has a good point... they seem to suck more because there are so many of them. They breed like roaches! They are easy and cheap to make, compared to sit-coms. What I want to know is who's watching them?
When I got sick, several months back, I got hooked briefly on soaps. A friend came over to sit with me several days and always wanted to watch her "stories". I went from making fun of the bad acting and writing... to yelling at the characters to wise up...
to being totally engrossed.
It took me days of RGB tapes and coffee to "get clean". I blame the Nyquil, myself.
Reality shows are like soaps: they're crap, but they're engrossing crap.
God help us all.

I reality tv at first wasn't bad. It just got dumb over time, and the networks don't get the hint to go back to regular programming.
