Can I ask a brief question?

Should I make my fanfic installments shorter and have more?
The reason why I ask is that my 2 fanfics that are up, and my X-Mas fanfic(pending aprooval) are quite long, not huge, but long!
Now the possibility of not many people rating them could be because not many have read them!
And one reason people may not have read them is because they look too long, and people just can't be bothered!
So here go's would more people read them if they were shorter?

I am a author (I'm not telling you who I am). There is no answer to your question. It depends on the person. but I would write short chapters. Most people are in a rush these days to get things done and don't have time to read long things.

Hi again, Sinister. 
My advice to you is, try it and see what happens. It couldn't hurt.
There are an awful lot of fanfictions here - it's awfully difficult to read them all - and for obvious reasons I tend to go straight to the EGB fanfics. But I do believe I'll read yours.

Perosnally, I hate short instalments, it means that just when I'm piecing together the mental picture I have to find the next part of the story. So keep 'em long.

The longer stories, in my opinion, show more and explain more than rushing it. People usually like this if they are not in a hurry.

It ain't futile. I think it's pretty smart of ya to be thinkin of the reader and how they react to your stories. I think they are good long.
