I thought it was excellent. Maybe some more detail on the dream sequence would have made it 10% better.

The fan fiction was actually just a story version of the Ghostbusters movies original script. It's not original. It was well done, but not original.

Oh yeah, I should mention that I was the guy who wrote it and that other than some of the opening dialogue, the rest was completely "original" (at least how you and other people may define the word). It was however based on an idea introduced on the script, if you want to get technical.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure how any Ghostbusters fan fiction can be "original". I mean, we are basing it on the Ghostbusters franchise, which is the creation of other people, right?

What I'm saying, Eggman, is that everything in that fanfic (dialogue and all) is right from the original script of the movie "Ghostbusters," as seen in the book "Making Ghostbusters."
Now, if memory serves, the author didn't claim that it was original. This post just made it seem like the whole thing was his idea, and that nothing like it was ever done before.
Now granted, none have taken that script (I hate reading movie scripts), and filled in all of the minor details to make it a cleaner story. He earns his points by taking someone elses' story, and "taking it a step further."
There's nothing wrong with it....that's why I said that it was "well done."

Nobody said it was "original" and completely my idea. Maybe there's misunderstanding here?

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. It is a major trend on a message board....and thanks....I'll keep doing that when I can get some of my "real life" affairs squared away.
