Has anyone ever got writer's block?

Has anyone here got writer's block while doing a fan fic here? It's been awhile since I put any at all, and either it's cuz I'm busy and can't type the next part up - or I'm having writer's block on what to do next.
Just wondering.

Welcome to my World!!
I have all these great ideas for stories and I'll start writing and then get stuck. Leave the project unfinished. I hate writiers block. Don't worry you're not the only one who suffers.

Oh yep, the bane of the Writer's life is Writer's block, there was this one story I was writing that I got stuck in the middle of, and it dragged on for ages. I usually listen to music if I have Writer's Block, I feel it helps to inspire me.

You could literally thousands of replies from people who suffer from writer's block. It happens to the best of us. I defy any writer to say (s)he has never had it.
I hate leaving a project unfinished. I usually just have a break from writing, or start something else, and then go back to it. That said, there is a half-written story on my PC from nearly 2 years ago I can't see getting finished any time soon.

I do the exact same thing. Music helps me write as it does in getting me to write. Cool.

Sometimes music helps me, but then it starts to distract me. Like, I'll be writing and then I'll plop in Sammy Hagar or something and then all my ideas on the story go away. *lol*

i think its best not to write when listening to music. just take notes or jot down new ideas while listening to some jams. try doing something else creative like drawing or doodling(if you cant draw), just to get the creative juices flowing. i hope this helps. sometimes its just best to take a break and do some physical activities.

Well, yeah, loud music will distract. WHat I usually do is play it quietly, more for ambience then listening to, and I usually just look at the screen, and think while I listen, let the plot form as the music plays.

What is the story about egbfan that you can't seem to finish?
Sometimes aksing another writer for suggestions can also help solve writer's block. Then you can start building upon the suggestions.

One of my professors last year said that she gets around her writer's block by lowering her standards. When you can't think of anything good, the best thing to do is write whatever you can come up with, whether you think it's good or not.
I usually lisen to very loud techno when I write. It kinda functions as white noise, though.

Listening to a little bit of Fantasia 2000 helped a little in my fan fic "The Tournament, Round 5". Although it had nothing to do with gilligan's Island, though... lmao
For anyone interested in reading a quickie good laugh, check it out. It may spare some time till I can get the RPG/RGB/EGB crossover done.
