Suggestions Needed for My First Fan Fic

Hi, everyone!
I have loved "The Real Ghostbusters" for many years now and have been meaning to write my very own fanfic when I felt the mood hit me. Well, I think it hit me this evening. I had an interesting idea for a fanfic, but I'd like to have the fanfic community give me their opinions and perhaps give a few suggestions.
In my RGB fanfic, the containment unit would shut down temporarily, enough for a few ghosts to get out. Once out, these ghosts plot together (or perhaps in a few smaller groups) in order to: a) how to get revenge on the GB's for having caught them. b) group together to cause some havoc or c) both a & b.(I haven't chosen my ghosts yet, but I was thinking of some odd combinations that would make for some interesting dialogue. Ex.- Ghosts 'R Us, The Grundel, and Watt) Naturally, I have many possibilities with my storyline then.
So my questions that I hope you will be able to answer for me:
1) Do you like the idea?
2) Any ideas for ghost combinations?
3) Any other suggestions or what you'd like to see in my RGB fanfic?
4) Are there any separate story premises you'd like to see developed into a fanfic story (for anyone who can't write too well, but,nonetheless, has some good plot ideas)?
Not to brag, but I'm a pretty good writer (Hey, this B.A. in Secondary Ed./English has GOT to help me out with this a little, I hope. LOL) and I'd really like to turn out a good fanfic.

Hmmm...sounds like an interesting concept, this "ecto-terrorism" that the escapees would do. In fact, it pretty much sounds like the concept of my in-the-works Ghostbusters: Special Ops fan-fic team...
Haha, just playing. Just noting some similarities between my in-the-works fan-fic team and your basic premise.
I'd go with the ghost-eater escaping. You know, the one that swallowed up many of the ghosts to increase its own power?
