You want to talk about GBs and guns MuthaPussBucket? Will you give me bad ratings because guns have and will appear in my fics? You've some nerve to vote on something that I feel would be realistic, especially in a place like Raccoon City

Ignore Omar, he's a perfect example of how to rate badly, and I've seen several of his posts that seem argumentative or attempt to start flame wars, unforyunantly it happens, most likely people who have no luck with props/fiction and so try to get their own back on life by dragging down other people's works.

Kingpin's right, some people's ratings just plain stink, some members work to the bone to persent what they have, but yet have someone ruin it by giving them bad ratings, unless they copied of someone's work or so I can see why, but if someone give give bad rating saying " you suck" or so, then that's just misusing the rating system.

Oh yes, this happened to me too... shan't say I'm the best writer, but the mean replies I got on my RGB stories made me quit writing. Why continue when all you get is "That sucks!". You avoid publishing more if you get such feedback.
It would be nice if the the rude people and the cheaters could be banned.

I'm very annoyed with a guy called jawsey who rated my story a 1, when the rest of the ratings were 9 or 10! His reasons were that I illed Ray and Winston... even though all the GBs died except Garrett! It was designed to be an apocalypse fic!

these rules have come out just in time for the fan fic franchises so there will be no stupidity between who can knock each other off first! thanks Vince there great rules and i will stand by them for our fan fic team!

Seems that one Jackalman 99 has gone through giving me a bunch of bad ratings. I was going to accept this gracefully and keep quiet, but then I found a reference to my story - "that Ghostbuster/Candyman crossover thing" - being used as an example of a bad story in the rating of another story that was absolutely nothing to do with me. (Sorry, could have phrased that better.) This seems to me to be below the belt. Can we make it some kind of rule that no stories be referred to out of context or something like that?

Yes, I know what that guys like! He rated War That Shook The World a 1, because he apparently supports Husain, and my fic is basically against husain.

I think Jackalman just enjoys giving bad ratings. He gave me an "8" on "Terror on the Jersey Turnpike" and acted like he was doing me a favor.

I think people should give ratings based more on how well a story is written rather than by content.
Maybe something alongs the lines of 80% based on the writing and 20% based on content

With all do respect to the board host. You want us to rate bad fics as good, if we think they're bad? we may be wrong if we think them bad, others might think they're really great. Some people should never write a ff, for anything ever, I'm one of them. It's not really a meaness, just an opinion  . Constructive critiques, might make the bad one improve  .
