Hey, here I am again...
Ben, I just opened the emial Matthew sent me last night...
     
Good greif, there's stuff in there even I'd forgotten about (just to prove I DON'T know everything). There's a missing episode title or two, but Matthew says this isn't the completely finalized "postable" version, so I assume those errors will be fixed.
About the only thing I can think of that I really wish to ask to be reworded is your mention of my fanfic "Clinically Insane" in Louis's entry. I hope you'll clarify with something along the lines of "However, she divorces him right before "Darness At Noon", when she goes to see Egon again.
And you entries on the vehicles. Might I suggest...
ECTO-1A
This 1959 Cadillac Meteor is of identical vintage as the famous ECTO-1, and was purchased in late 1988 to replace the original, which had finally expired just before the team's return to buisness. It featured more decorations and advertising, but was essentially equipped the same as it's predecessor. Originally registered as "ECTO-1A", after New Years 1989 the original ECTO-1's registration expired and the newer one became the ECTO-1. Presumably this is the same vehicle still in use in the late 90's by the Extreme Ghostbusters
Conjectural. There are some fans who maintain the ECTO-1A is the original ECTO-1, just modified. It was referred to as "ECTO-2" in the GB2 script
ECTO-4
This is a small gyrowing aircraft designed and built by Egon Spengler. It can hold it's pilot and at least four passengers. Its' equipped with a proton gun, but it's real jewel is the built-in Transdimensional Drive, an evolution of Egons' earlier Dimensional Gate technologies ("Egon's Ghost", "The copycat"). The drive is hideously expensive to build and operate, however.
Egon was the main pilot, but Venkman did fly it on one occassion (and nearly got eaten by a dinosaur in the process)

Actually, Ben...after thinking about it all afternoon I think I'd prefer it if you just knocked any mention of "Clinically Insane" out completely. It's quite "out on a limb" in some ways, and I got one negative review on it because, according to that reviewer, it contradicts a fact mentioned in an XGB episode. (The Jackalman 99 review). He doesn't mention the episode, and I don't remember the reference, but what if he's right? (I haven't seen some of XGB in years--I can't find one of my tapes)
"Clinically Insane" was the first Gb fanfic I wrote when I rediscovered Ghostheaddom last year, inspired by some of the "mood pieces" at Tobin's Archive, and to just sort of get a bit of "NO!!! She does NOT end up with Louis Tully!!!" Out of my system. It's not continuity and I don't really consider it such even in my own personal Ghostbusters Universe. I'm glad most of you who reviewed it liked it, but I just can't enthrone it as any sort of canon.

The Fact List looks GREAT! It’s PERFECT! A whole lot of hard work went into it, and it's payed off. Everything anyone ever needs to know about the Ghostbusters, their tools, and their talents is there. It’s Great! We just need to add a few more things (Some are mentioned below.). As for the Surname, “Melnitz”, I’m 99.9% sure that it has a Jewish background. As Fritz said, The Melnitz Family probably has a Jewish background.
After Ben finishes it, maybe Fritz could take the info about the Guys, themselves, and include it in the Ghostbusters Omnibus Timeline, under their Births, if he wants to. Then Ben could post the Fact List at the top of the Fan Faction Forum as a Sticky (We'll probably have to get a Mod to make it a sticky.). Then, I could take the final version, edit it for 88mph Studios, and then send it to Fritz to include under the New Ghostbusters Timeline, under the Guys' births, if he wants to. Then he can send that New List and the New Timeline to Ben, so he can take a look, and then he can send it to 88mph Studios.
BTW, I have some more info on the Surname, "Venkman". As I said earlier, My Uncle told me to search for it online, and in online Phone Books. All I found under the search results were a bunch of Dr. Peter Venkman fan sites, and mentions of him on various other sites. As for the Online Phone Books, the only ones that I could find to use were U.S. Phone Books. Absolutely nothing was found in them. Then I told My Uncle, that I thought it was probably fictitious ("Zeddemore"> probably is too.). He told me that the prefix, "Venk", sounded either German, Jewish, or Yiddish. He told me to also look for words like "Venk", "Vink", and "Fink". "Venkman" always sounded German to me, and that’s what I assumed when I was just a little Guy back in the late 80’s, and I still think it does. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis may have intended for it to be of German extraction (Which Peter somewhat mentioned in the deleted scene from GB II.). Last night, I looked at an online dictionary. First I looked for "Venk, but I found nothing. Then I looked for ""Vink", and I didn’t find anything for that one, either. However, we all know that "Fink" is indeed a real word. In fact on Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?", there was a very mysterious recurring character known as "Dr. Vink", or as he introduced himself, "Dr. Vink, with a V-V V". He too, was a little bit of a Conman, like Charlie and Peter (Possibly a distant Cousin of theirs, with another, perhaps intentionally changed variation of their Surname?). Anyway, here’s what I found:

Now, don’t some of those definitions, like "Contemptible"., sound familiar?  Anyway, do you Guys know anything about Charlie’s Parents? I heard somewhere that they may have been Circus Folk that moved around a whole lot, which could’ve resulted in his highly questionable upbringing. Ben says he hasn't heard Peter's Grandfather, but as he had a lot of Sheila
Paulson work and once came across a cool fic where Cyrus Spengler murdered his Brother. Are you saying that Cyrus murded Charlie's Brother or Uncle? Why did he?

That story was called "Yonder Walks the Ghost of My Father". In it, Cyrus had murdered Egon's father (named Edwin here) to gain control of Spengler Labs, then set out to kill Egon as well, since he'd inherited part of it. It was meant as a sequel to "Cry Uncle", I think. (I'm a HUGE fan of Sheila's site)

As I understand from previous posts, most notably by "Zedd", in the novelization of GB1, written by Richard Mueller, he conjectures that Venkman came from a circus background. Ironically enough, Mueller created Charlie Venkman and thus invalidated his own conjecture.
I read "Younder Walks the Ghost of My Father", and while I loved it (I made Cyrus a villain myself in my old GBI games) it kind of bugged me too...too many of Ms. Paulson's stories fall into a rut: "Egon gets hurt or in trouble and Venkman angsts about it for thirty pages." Especially grating to me in this particular case was the lack of a meeting between Edwin/Elliot/Edison and Janine. That would've been good

That Circus Background should NOT, I repeat should NOT be used as Peter's background, seeing as we already know Peter's background thanks to to several RGB Episodes (And I like that background more. It's his REAL background. ). Anyway the main reason for this Fact List is to prevent errors in Core Continuity.
But I do think the Circus Background would be great for Charlie. Think about it, as I said before, the way it happened was that Charlie's Parents worked in a Circus, and so they moved around a lot, which some what resulted in Charlie's highly questionable upbringing, which lead him to become a Conman. Charlie's Father (And possibly his Mother, too.) was probably a Conman also (Hint: The Circus.  ). I think it's Genetic. All (Or most. ) Venkman men are Conmen. You know Peter is a bit of one, of course! And as said before, this is probably the origin of their surname, "Venkman".
I tell you, that Cyrus Spengler is evil! He needs to be Baptised in a pool of positively charged Mood Slime. Maybe that would help him.

Well, I just got another batch of facts down, as well as formatting some parts. Now I don't want to jinx anything, but I have a feeling I could be nearing the end of my work soon Though in truth the list will never be finished, with revisions, the Extreme Ghostbusters and what-not.

This is very important! I've been trying to find it, and I finally found it. Here it is:
How to Read a P.K.E. Meter: A P.K.E. Meter measures the Psychokinetic energy in the current area. In order to correctly assess the reading, you must view this guide.
200-300 = No Threat, small to no paranormal activity.
301-450 = Trouble, you have a faint trace of a spook.
451-550 = Biblical Proportions, don't let anyone in your house named "Zuul".
Now that you know how to correctly process the information, now you need to know some other tips. If the meter is reading very close in between 300-305, you may be picking up a trail of a ghoul that was already in your area. In other words, you are seeing his residual traces. If you are reading anywhere from a 450-455 when a ghost is present, you are looking at a Class V apparition, a ghost not to be taken lightly.

missjanine - It will probably be made into a sticky at the top of this forum. I don't know whether it will be separate or not. BTW, did they really make you cry in that thread in the Comic Book Forum, where Veedramon stared at everyone for making you cry, and then he handed you those white Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?
Ghost Trek - Winston was in Vietnam. He was drafted in 1971, attended Boot Camp, and then went off to fight in Vietnam.
I hope we can get this List finished soon. But no rushing, though!

Missjanine doesn't cry! I have a terrible temper (even though I'm not a redhead, I'm a blonde!), and I whimper, but, no, I didn't cry. Those Reese's Cups were still good, though!
