Quick question for anyone who watched EGB...

For the purposes of a fanfic I am writing (obviously - this post does actually belong here), did we ever at any time meet any of the EGB's parents? We never did in any of the episodes I watched, which was most of them, and from what I've read on the internet I don't think we ever did. But I want to make sure.
I do know that Kylie's parents are divorced, and Roland's parents still seem to be together. I do wonder if Eduardo's father actually died from his brother's line, "Dad was a cop..." But I suppose equally he could have retired.
Anyway, please respond. Otherwise my story could end up being completely inaccurate, and that would never do!

We never, ever did. But, here are the conclusions I've come to (based SOLELY on my understanding of each character, and little tidbits in episodes where words are mentioned in regards to their family)...
KYLIE
Her parents are divorced, and as such, she never really bonded with either of them. She was probably raised by her Great Grandmother, Rose, who she mentions is the reason for her becoming interested in paranormal investigation (and also the reason she steals the Ghost Beacon). She also was neglected as a child, and her sole childhood friend, Joey, was captured by the Grundle. However, in her late high school years, she disguised her depressing background by becoming the head cheerleader.
EDUARDO:
His father died on the job, and his mother died when he was very young. His brother practically raised him, hence why he lives in the apartment his brother rents out. His attitude stems from his brother being the (occasionally abusive) sole authority figure in his childhood life also being a cop in his adult life. His short temper can also probably be attributed to a lack of parents.
GARRETT:
His parents were always away at work, trying to support him and his necessary medical supplies (wheelchairs, ramps, etc.), so he was practically raised by the older kids in his neighborhood (hints of such are in the episode with the Golum).
ROLAND:
He was raised on the suburban outskirts of New York City by a well-to-do upper-class black family. Presumably, his father is a mechanic of some sort (probably military), and his mother is a doctor. He still lives with both of them when not sleeping at the Firehouse.

Very informative. But Kylie's friend was Jack, she was the head cheerleader during her junior high years and that's about it. Otherwise, very nicely done. I also have no life.

Ah yes, Jack. Considering I haven't watched EGB in approximately two years, I'm surprised I remembered that much.
I only caught half of the ep where they go into the old school anyways, so that also explains my fault.
And, as I previously said, all of those deductions are my own personal views, ie. "how I would have their pasts revealed/explained."

Thanks, that's very helpful. In the ep with gremlins in it Roland is described as an "older sibling in a large lower-middle-class family". We only ever meet one brother but there could be more of them, I suppose.
Just wondering, what makes you think Eduardo's mother died? I know you said it's largely your opinion, but I wonder if there is any evidence for this in the show.
When do we find out that Kylie was the head cheerleader in junior high? I've never seen that ep.

I just assumed Eddie's mother died due to his dependency on Carlos, his brother. It's unlike most sibling relationships, so I assumed that Carlos took on the parental role for Eduardo at one point in Eddie's life.
