At the support of several of my friends, I may be developing a website for the Ghostbusters Monstersquad.

For those of you who have not heard of them, they are the team of specialists who handle monsters, demons, ghouls, and other corporeal beings. They are a team of four who base themselves in New York. Originally, the Monstersquad were a creator owned comic that I did and published in a friend's little comic book. Now, I have just finished the first comic-to-story process by bringing the joys of those who never did read the comics as stories for GBN fanfictions.

The basic premise of the site will mostly feature pictures (I'm debating on whether or not to put the original comics up) of the team, pics of the packs they use (very different from the standard GB pack), the vehicle and stories.

One thing I might do that is weird is that I may actually build props for the site, based on the Monstersquad weapons.

What does everybody else think? As always, input is much needed. smile

And yes, I am aware of the 1987 movie The Monster Squad. I have the tape wink

Hey I remember Monster squad!
"They make ghostbusting look like child' s play!"

Your idea sounds alot like a cartoon show I worked on once called "Monster force".
It was about some guys and a girl in college who hunted modern day versions of the classic monsters. They had very modern suits and equipment, it took place in 2020 and one of the members also turned into a werewolf. I think playmates made action figures based on it.
It didn't catch on with the kids though.

Ghostbusters locations already do this sort of thing everyday. What you refer to as "monsters" fall into the "cryptozoology" category.

Here's the short list of things that Ghostbusters International can bust, trap, vanquish or otherwise rid your home or place of business of:

Ghosts
Apparitions
Ghouls
Bigfoot
Doppelgänger
Yeti
Sasquatch
Skunk Apes
Mothmen
Chupacabra
Jersey Devils
Living dinosaurs
Loch Ness monster and other sea serpents
Gremlins
Demons
Goblins
Faeries
Tree gnomes
Zombies
Elves
Pookas
Leprechawns
Banshees
Poltergeist
Incubus/Succubus
Vampires
Screaming Skulls
Werewolves

Not to mention that GBI is also at the forefront of technology, knowledge and research when it comes to:

Alchemy, Philosophy and Mysticism, Astrology, Numerology, Prophecy and Divination, Curiosities, Enigmas, Hoaxes and Conspiracies, Demons, Angels, Spirits and Ghosts, End of the World, Pseudoscience, Holistic Practices and Powers of Healing, Lost Worlds, Ancient Peoples and Mysteries, Magical Arts, Voodoo and Witchcraft, Myths, Legends, Secret Societies, Sects, Religions and Cults, Psychic Powers, Strange Beasts, Cryptid Animals and Mysterious Creatures, Strange Customs, Amulets and Superstitions, Ufos, Extraterrestrials and Close Encounters, & Time and Space.

Just thought you'd like to know.

And don't forget about the lima beans and the car chase!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Did you mention witches as well. ETGB had quite an encounter not too far back... and we rammed a troll into wal-mart! LOL

Hmmm, cryptozoology. We have a member in NOMAD who fits that bill that I almost forgot about.

But anyway, your list, Mr. Tully, is very useful. But I think I forgot to mention an important aspect of Monstersquad. That they do fight monsters. While yes indeed that Ghostbusters locations do bust both ghosts and monsters, statistics are that there are a whole lot more ghosts out there than monsters. Hence the need for the MS, your knockaround Ghostbusters who are indeed trained cryptozoologists and paranormal investigators. They are no better than Hellboy is at what they do. While some of the bigger GB franchises are about their business handling ghosts and other spooks---i.e. ETGB and a slew of other franchises---the Monstersquad will be there to look into closet monsters. You'll understand when the first stories are up as to what I'm talking about, and believe me your mind will blown away by it.
