New Fan Fic in the future

Hello, fellow Ghostheads. I have an idea to start a new fan fiction story in the near future and it's a Ghostbusters story, that takes place in a post-apoctalyptic war zone that is the world after the containment unit blows. It's gonna be staring me and I wanna know what you guys think. I'd like to also use you guys in this story if you're interested.
If you wanna do this I'm gonna need you to give me a few stats such as what kind of fantasy abilities you want, which can range from spells to sword fighting and from psychic abilities to Jedi mind tricks, a description of your screenname's persona and if you want to weild any type of weaponry.
Of course, I suggest we contact Mr. Vincent Belmont in order to get this approved. I'll take a certain number of characters that I can make work. Those of you to be included with this story will be named on this topic. Those of you who don't make it, I suggest you start this as well.

Well, really it's either Mr. Belmont or Vince, but he prefers to be called Dr. Belmont. 
On topic, it sounds like you have an intresting idea, similar to Ghostbusters: Super.

I have decided to start this fic, but I don't think I'll post it on the site since it has very little to do with Ghostbusters and I'm not up to asking all you guys if I have permission to use you in my fic. If you want to read it, I suggest you e-mail in a week. That's when I think I'll have enough of it to show off.

Uh. From the number of low responses to this topic, this project is apparently dead. But for those who cared enough to respond, all three of you, thanks for the support. If still interested, you can e-mail me for the first few pages I have all ready done. But does anybody know how to get italics and stuff on here?

I don't want to put you off or anything but, I wouldn't do it. I've read Ghostbusters and 0utlaw Star fanfics where people try to write themselves in,on the Fanfiction.Net, never seems to work out too well. I don't think it matters so much whether you use chacters from the movies or the animated spinoffs they inspired but, I wouldn't try to write myself into a fanfic were I you. How are you going to keep it realistic and have these guys calling people by screne names?

It's actually quite simple, Jackalman. If the screen name doesn't work, I won't use it but give some hint as to who the GB.Net member is. The problem is asking these people if I can use their names in this story if I'll ever finish/post it.

  0h, I see. Although that might not be too far fetched, with nicknames being what they are these days. If you're going to write yourself or anyone else into a fanfic, don't just drop yourself into a fic. I think that's what gets me about finfic authors, they just say; "Hi, this is me _____, I'm here in MY fic, interacticing with ______, for no other reason than I'm a big ego". Create a character, based on yourself, then fit him/her into an acceptable storyline, the way novelists do, when they want to expose somebodies dirty laundry, without getting sued.

Dude, I think you need to lighten up on the authors around here. You're sure good at dishing out criticisms and yet you haven't done a damn thing on GBN but bitch about the streaming versions of the RGB and EGB eps. You could DrkMgcn some support. Usually, the best fan fics have original characters in them. Some authors prefer to write their own characters than the ones from the films.
