A few things that will not be allowed in the Fanfic section.

A few things have come to my attention on my first night as the fanfic moderator.
First of all, I think I have to clear some things up as far as what I do NOT want to see on this board.
Chad has given me the authority to run the fanfic board as I see fit, and these are some issues that came up tonight that have never been discussed before.
1) I have never before run into a fanfic where the author had the audacity to copyright his work. It didn't hit me until I actually went back and read approved fanfics when they were physically on the board to rate them myself. Okay. That was my first screw up on the job. Everyone is human.
My point is, that you in NO Way, shape, or form, have ANY right to copyright your work. You are using trademark characters for your story. It is NOT entirely your work. It happened once, and I don't want to see it again.
As for plaigiarism of others' works on this board...that too, will not be tolerated. I had to delete a fanfic that was a mockery of another's work on this board. If I don't catch it, again, I'm only human. I will email you in the future if your fic looks suspicious.
2) You are NOT to use members on this board in your stories unless you have their permission. It's not a legal issue, but I'm making it a board rule. A recently banned member put Kingpin in one of his stories, and had Peter Venkman calling him a "psycho." I don't know if Kingpin gave him that permission, but I was not happy with it, as I happen to be a friend of Kingpin's, and I admire his work.
If you are using the character of a member of GBN, send an email to me directly from BOTH parties involved, granting permission for usage of that member's namesake. I will not approve of such a fanfic, and it will stay "pending approval" until this is done.
If you have any other questions pertaining to gray areas of the fanfic forum, then do not hesitate to ask them here, or email me directly.

Calm down, buddy.
You aren't the only person who made a mistake with submitting fiction. Just don't do it again, and there's no harm done. The only reason I stress this so much is because GBN could possibly get in trouble for hosting your fanfic. I can't go back and delete it, otherwise, I would, and have you remove the copyright before resubmitting it.
There are other issues above, as well. That little outburst just drew all attention to you. I did not mention you by name.
Tone down that attitude.

hey, sorry...I umm...had a little attitude problem going I realise that, but hey, a little attention never killed nobody. I'll umm...I'll go before I harm myself anymore.  it was just your wording of #1 that cheesed me(the first paragraph anyway).

Hey, like I said. Learn from the mistake, and there's no harm done, okay? 
By the way, your screenplay wasn't that bad. If you write a new one, you'll probably get a much better review. Unfortunately, I can't take the same work. I do not have the power to delete fanfiction from the site.
Get those creative juices flowing, and try some new screenplay. You DO write very well. Submit it, and I'll be happy to read and review it!

it's going too be a lot more humor based than the other and more faithful too the actual series...kind of...hehehe.

i thank u for rating and approving my fan fic its well apreciated! but what about our fan fic groups ROGUE SQUAD,GB N.O.M.A.D..ect
do we need to send proof of the use of other GBN members?

I'll tell you what...why don't all franchises send me a list of the members' names. I'll jot them down, and remember them when I see franchise fanfics.
Soon, I am requesting that Chad make a section specifically for "franchise fanfics." All will be able to post fanfictions for these franchises. All fanfics that the franchise likes, may designate them as "canon" works (i.e.: This is what really happened with our franchise)...the canon works will be designated with a golden GB insignia. The franchise list would also have links to their individual websites, and email addys.
I hope to get this up soon, as it will immensely cut down on the crossover list!
My main concern is to avoid ANY possible slander of other GB members. As you may know, there was a site that out there specifically made to lampoon and berate myself, Ectodude, and Chad.
A fanfic was submitted that referred to Kingpin as a "psycho."
The author was Bryonghost, who is no longer with us, and for good reason.
I really want the fanfic forum to become a lively place, and I will do everything I can to make it that way.

Is it acceptable for people who are cameoing/staring in a fanfic just saying that they give permission in the realtive post?
