I'm starting on my first pack (second really, I made a really cheap crappy one about a year back that didn't even look like the pack) using Norm's plans. I thought I had all the measurements perfeect, but after drawing the 12.5" circle, I realized that the right end of the board doesn't meet with the circle. Everything else matches perfectly. The pictures in the plans show a slight, slight angle, but I'm not sure if this is too big. The end of the circle is 9/16" away from the end of the board (still not cut yet). Are one of my measurements wrong, or is this the way it's supposed to be?

Hmmm. Did you take into account the size of the blade? Even though it's very thin, it does take up space, and even the smallest millimeter could throw off the entire project. For instance, instead of measuring the cutting line as "5 inches", give yourself at least a blade's width on either side. Don't forget that if it's too big you could always fix it, but if it's too small, you'll have to begin again or get a new part.
