GB 3 will go under way if only Murray can agree...

the GB3 film could go under way if Bill Murray can only agree to go ahead, he is still pondering what to do but we all say "get on with it" and get this damn film made so looks like we all may get our wish of another ghostbusters franchise!

Whoa, Ectoman, that was harsh. But I so sympathize with your frustrations. How many more threads do we need like this? Would we really want a GB3 where only one of the original parties (Hudson) is ready and willing to do it? What kind of movie would GB3 be if Dan, Bill, and Harold all reunited against their will? I doubt there would be any real effort put into it.

I do not give away my sources.
Aykroyd, Ramis, Murray, and Sony all have expressed that they do not want to make a 3rd film. Reitman would probably still produce, from what I hear, and Ernie would still want to do it.

It'd be near impossible to get all of those people on the same page at the same time at this point. Some of them were optimistic but even THEY have come to accept that it won't be made. Dan Aykroyd himself accepts the fact that Bill doesn't want to do it and respects that decision. When the most enthusiastic Ghostbusters supporter(Dan himself) has let the project go, what will it take for everyone else to accept it?

INT. CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY - DAY
Mr. Ernie Hudson sits behind a desk, tapping a pencil impatiently over and over. His AGENT hovers behind him, impatiently pacing like a caged animal.
The phone RINGS. Hudson grabs the phone quickly as his agent eagerly looks over his shoulder.
HUDSON
(hopeful)
Hello? Dan? Is that you?
Hudson waits a few beats, listening to the other side of the conversation.
HUDSON
No, I'm not interested in changing
my long distance carrier.
He hangs up the phone and goes back to impatiently tapping the pencil on the desk. He stares at the phone as if it was hypnotic. It doesn't ring.
He hangs his head low and continues waiting for the call. His agent continues to pace.

Well, for sure Dan Aykroyd would love to do GB3 and the same goes with Harlod Ramis. They didn't write the screenplay without the strong will of making a new movie. The problem is Ghostbusters 3 is a very risque movie to make. Let's face it: It could turn out as a biggest flop in the new century...

Call me stupid if ya like, and i know this may not be possible, but cant they make Ghotbusters3 with another company like MGM or Trystar? This probably isnt possible because Sony have the rights but maybe they will give the role to one of these companys, i mean they let the film casper have Dan Aykroyd for cameo. Because lets face it, if Sony are being stupid and dont want to make another film, then why dont they let some other company do it and get rih?

Harold hasn't written anything on the third movie yet.EDIT: Nevermind All there is is Dan's first draft and there are many things stopping it from being made other than the possibility of it being a flop.
Other than Bill's family, who else is likely to know his ways but the people who have worked closely with him on many projects. Harold, Dan and Ivan know how Bill is at this point. They see no point in putting up a fight when the guy has put his foot down. If they barely convinced him to make Ghostbusters 2, what's it going to take to change his mind this time? Likely nothing. Don't get me started on Sony  They're less likely to budge than Bill. He's not the only obstacle.
I just wish people would get SOME of their information straight.

last i heard a few years ago, bill gave in and agreed, but sony still did not want to make it, then everone started to give up even dan so u cant say gb3 would go under way if bill would agree cuz he alreayd has., on a side note, sony made egb not only to promote the toys but to see how a gb3 would work, seeing as egb did not take off sony prob thought gb3 would bomb and dident take the chance, y u ask, cuz if there gonna do a gb3 they want to keep a cartoon going so they cna sell toys to lil kids,
