Just to clarify the link that you posted http://us.imdb.com/Title?0308311 is actually a listing for the "documentary" that was produced for the DVD release. Notice the (V) ala Video.
A few people have mentioned that listing on everyone's IMDB resumes and wondered what that's all about- and now you know... the rest of the story. Good day.

I just saw sombody mention the post 9/11 world and New York. I know that the script was already made but could it be rewriten, to put that event in. Gozer was a summerian god and that theritory is now arabic country, so maybe they wanted to stir up the spirit world, may call Gozer back to destroy the U.S.A., but triggered the plot of GB3. It's just an idea.

I've met a bunch of people that insist there is a GB 3 out there... I'm yet to hear of it though
