Me thinks GB3 has Already Been Made!

Hi guys im not a big big fan like you guys but just wanted to add some info i noticed when buying the box set of the blues brothers.If you look under bonus materials on the Blues Brothers 2000 dvd.Then go into cast and filmakers. Go into Dan Aykroyd and your find in his film highlights after bluebrothers 2000 it says Ghostbusters 3 (1998).I don't if this a mistake on sonys part but i think its been made and they haven't released it.

well if it was true i think that it would be all over gb.net but i dont know.
if they have already released it i would sure as hell wanna see it

Yeah, when that write up was done GB3 was still a possibility, but in the words of the german in Saving Private Ryan "The statue of liberty is kaput." except that this doesn't cover the statue.

Funny story, a friend of mine said that he has yet to see "all three" of the Ghostbusters films... the conversation is as follows (or at least, my side of it):
"You really like those flicks huh?"
"Definitely."
"Yeah, I've yet to see all three of them."
"There were only two."
"Are you sure?"
"Did I just say that I really like the flicks?"
"True."
"So don't f--- with my knowledge, there were only two."
"Sure dude, okay..."
(a few beats)
"I could have sworn that there was a third one."
"Just let it go, Ryan."

lmao NetSolo, very funny, i have this friend who also thinks there were more than two movies and it pisses me off, he claims that they were never in theaters but only on video

Whoever said GB3 has already been made is stupid. GB3 will not be made any time in the near future and thats the wya it should be. I dont wanna see some crap just thrown together and ruin it for every time I see the first ones ya know? Blue Brothers 2000 was a disgrace and it ruined the first one for me . Half the reason is because YOU CANNOT HAVE A BLUE BROTHERS SEQUAL WITHOUT BELUSHI! Sure Jake and Elwood were a team but without JAke its nothing, so I dont want to see a GB3 where I regret eer seeing it. I think you people should be happy its not out yet cause it means that they are takeing there time and thinking it through. Who here has seen Smokey and the bandit and then saw Smokey and the bandit 2. Didn tit ruin the first one for you because it was aweful? See what I mean.

I thought Blues Brothers 2000 was a good movie. Not as good as the original, but stil a good movie.

I actually think that GB3 will be made and that 9/11 could help it out.
First, there is this article from a respectable site dated July 30, 2002

A SCRIPT REVIEW of GB3 from this past summer. The script was the first draft written in 1999.
Second, there is a line in there that states that more than ever another ghostbusters movie would actually help in this post-9/11 world. I remember after 9/11 about how people need to feel good again, and feel good about New York again. Many people turned to the one source of Pride many New Yorkers have....Ghostbusters.
I kid you not. Ask any New Yorker and Ghostbusters is ranked up as one source of pride for the city. That and the Yankees. But seriously, many New Yorkers I've heard from have said that Ghostbusters is the one movie about New York that everyone loves. Name any other movie about New York that gives you that same fun, escapism feeling....You can't can you.
While I hope GB3 wouldn't be made to simply cash in purely on that good feeling about New York, I'm sure it would factor for the studio to make it.
I think there has been talk about GB3 and then it being shot down simply because they want to get the name out and want the attention off until it is released. I don't think they want the Star Wars syndrome where every little movie, such as when is the lunch break, spoilered on the internet for all the raging fans to see.
