You can't just buy GB3 and Dan couldn't have taken it to other companies because Sony owns 1/5th of the rights to the movie... so therefore making it ILLEGAL for Dan to take it anywhere else. The reason you can't just buy GB3 is because you would have to buy the whole Ghostbusters franchize, Ghostbusters 1, 2, RGB, Slimer, Extreme GB. All of those licensing would litterally cost millions and millions of dollars. You don't just walk up to Sony and say "Hey, here's $20,000 I'll take GB3"... no, you can't do that! If you could, I would have done that and you guys would be watching the DVD by now!

I think Universal should buy the rights because Aykroyd has worked with them a lot.
