Spears!!!!!! what the? she would ruin the movie, yes as everyone said she'd probably bring in a lot of hormone driven guys but do you want a sequal for the sake of it or do you want a great addition. Personally i'd never want to see anyone else play any of the orginal characters. as new members Tina Faye definetly, perhaps David Duchvney (couldn't remember how to spell it) a.k.a. Mulder playing a bad guy or even a gb. Joseph Fiennes from Enemy at the Gates would also make a good villan and bring some belive-ablity to it. Just my opinion.

i think my casting would be...
Akroyd and ramis still in it to guide the new ghostbusters.
new GB's
Brad Pitt
Sean William Scott
Wesly Snipes
Jenifer Lopez
i think all four could handle the roles
but if i were akroyd and sony pictures i would try and lure murry in to making a third GB installment without the new GB's

I would cast
John Leguizamo
Jet Li
Winona Ryder
Owen Wilson
John's character would be an angry character who wants revenge at the undead due to a family trauma caused by demon possession.
Jet's character would be an ivy-league college graduate who has immense interest in Dr. Spengler's work.
Winona's character would have great interest in the occult and paranormal occurrences
Owen's character would be a nephew of Dr. Stantz who, looking for steady work due to a tight economy, would sort of cozy up to the new job. He would be the free-wheeler of the group.
They would truly be the Extreme Ghostbusters. Whaddya' think?

Jay and Silent Bob would be hilarious as the new Ghostbusters!!  . Picture the scene: the 3rd movie has come out and people on Ghostbusters.net are posting some bad stuff about them, so they go to Sony pictures to stop the 4th movie from getting made. Unfortunatley they are mistaken for the cast and got dragged into the movie. Then Ivan Reitman meets them and convinces them to let the movie carry on so they'd get a whole sackful of money each. He also convinces them there's nothing they can do about the members of Ghostbusters.net who are posting bad stuff about them..... Then they figure out how many plane tickets they can afford....then they start going round our houses and beat up whoever talked trash about them!!!

I think Ernie Hudson could kick ass by himself as a GB. He stayed fit and pretty young looking compared to the others. Maybe Rick Moranis too..now who would they recruit?
