Joe Dante has apparently been contacted about doing a new "Gremlins" movie. It's come up a few times and the main reason he's not jumping on is becuase the studio want it to be CGI - Dante would rather ol fashion; animatronic etc - as I'm sure we all would. I'm sure they'll do it anyway
Now is it just me or is EVERY franchise in history getting another chance EXCEPT for Ghostbusters. I cant believe how unfair this is getting.

First of all, it's just a rumor. Some schmuck could have made it up for all we know. Rumors concerning Gremlins 3 always pop up now and then. Take it with a grain of salt. Personally, I hope it happens.

Tobin2027, calm down, there just rumors. GB3 might be made but who knows, that;s the way the ball bounces and its not on your court at the moment.

PROTON786, Ill get over it whenever I want too. Dont tell me what to do please. Personally, I want Gremlins 3 to happen too. Im just saying it's kinda weird how EVERY other movie is getting another chance except Ghostbusters. I may sound like Im complaining, but hey..that's my job.

Those other movie series making comebacks and sequels didn't have our good friend Bill Murray to contend with!  The man just plain doesn't like making sequels. I can almost certainly promise you, he WON'T budge on this. Every ghosthead went through a period when they thought there was still a chance of GB3 being made but when will some people just face the facts?

Meh. With the current script, I dunno if GB3 would be a good idea. So for now, it's probably an idea best laid to rest for now. Sad as I am to admit that...
