Rumors about GB3 project revival...

I have nothing more than rumors...Rumors that say that Dan Aykroyd will try a GB3 Project revival. Now, even I am not pretty sure about it, but what the heck... Actually, I truly believe that in 2004, we WILL hear news from Dan about GB for sure.
And it won't be about any stupid comics and stuff but for a GB3 movie. Heads up ghostheads...There's still hope!

You know, I like your faith. And I believe with this comic that Dan has to say something about Ghostbusters. Even if its not about GB3, we will definatly be hearing from him next year. I feel this Fall marks a whole new beginning. I think this comic is just a very small taste of bigger things to come. Maybe not a GB3, but possibly a re-release of both films in theaters then special Edition DVDS.  I still havnt given up hope for GB3, because I realize its all about Hollywood. And Hollywood is weird. You just never know what they will do. Thats why it really bothers me when people say "It wont happen!". Well, how do you know? Can you see the future? Anyways, you just never know what the future holds. So never say never. The comics have helped franchise such as Transformers and Heman, it will most likely do wonders for Ghostbusters as well.
You guys gotta realize that comics are a big deal in Hollywood these days. Hollywood knows comics are popular, and if you make a movie to a popular comic, that = $$$$$$. i.e. Spiderman, Daredevil, Hulk, Transformers and now Superman is in the works. So again, never say never. And we will definatly be hearing from Danny here within the near future.

i'm not saying i belive or disbelive this rumor, but things can happen. there is really no way for us to know if this guy's info is legit. all he gave us was a RUMOR that aykroyd would try to get GB3 made. not that it WILL be made, but that aykroyd would try again. we'll just have to wait and see...

I've been hearing rumours too. They consist of everything from a new ghostbusters with new actors, to Jim Belushi being in the new one as Venkman. I have a point to what I'm saying. That point is that Dan's famous again. He's been making B-Movies, and Middle-Canadian Indie films for the past four years working his buns off to get back into the spotlight, and now that he has with his new blues record I have a strong, strong feeling that he once again has the popularity, and backing of a studio to give GB3 another go. Now that Dan's an "in-thing" again I think Columbia, or whomever it is who wants to handle a movie such as GB3 will go for it. Even if GB3 turns out to be a crappy movie it'll still rake in tons of boxoffice bucks.

I heard it from David Smith. He is on the crew of the Fraiser show. I used to go to High School with him many years ago, and I trust his word.

i think they are pulling somthing as we speak. think about this, egb was rumored to be made so if it did good gb3 would be mad but it failed. latly we have gotten the polar lights model, the comic is coming along with a 1:18 scale ecto-1 and the 2 diecast jl dioramas. does this not say somthings up

Unless they had all five sets of film rights, GB3 will never happen.

Okay. I called my friend Dave (Yes, the one who's the coffee fetching lackie for Kesley Grammer, Lol.) Anyways I called him and was discussing this thread with him. He said Danny Elfman (Husband to Jenna Elfman, I think. Or brother in law. I forget.) was contacted by Harold Ramis, and Akyroyd apparently to do a score for a possible GB3. Of course it's a rumour, but I trust Dave.

Sweet Ecto! Nice find! In my opinion There's still a chance for GB3. Maybe not soon, but a couple of years down the road. Sure GB3 is dead as of "now", but I haven't given up hope. I don't think about it anymore so i'm just gonna let time flow.......

Wouldnt it have to be a go ahead at the studios before they even start composing music for a movie? If Dan and Harold are asking Danny to compose then wouldnt you think that GB3 is already underway? I dont doubt this rumor though because I checked on IMDB and Ecto isnt lying. David A. Smith (II) does indeed work as an assistant to producers for the show "Frasier". This is all very weird.
