I guess Ive just given up on Sony and GB3. It was January 1997 when I heard about GB3. I was so excited. I told everyone about it and had my own logos I made hung up in my locker. This was 5th grade. It's now 2003, and.....nothing. My dreams were shattered by Sony. I hate Sony. I just dont believe they have any interest in making fans happy and they obviously cant see how big nostalgia is right now. All the 80's things are coming back. Sony is just........DUMB.

Maybe Sony brought out the Ecto-1 to see how much attention it recieved, and thus try to gauge how much public interest there is in a possible GBIII?

I think companys like sony who have a great reputation.Are only looking for the best intrests of the company and the worker and of course the fans.Sony doesnt just blow money away without a reason.Do you think
sony wants pocket change for rights to the
Ecto1.Of course not they are probably thinking of somthing bigger for the intrest of the masses.Like with the realese of spiderman.The cartoon had died out like 3 years before the movie was ever realesed.
I think sony knows people like to see familiar faces around and can make some serious money later with it some how.

exactly. sony IS up to something, something BIG... making profit. sony doesn't care about GB's or spider-man... that's aykroyd and stan lee or whoever. sony is in it for the money, PERIOD.

my guess is they knew ab0out the production of the soon to come out comic at the time and tried to rekindle the flame of GB by presenting the car... or maybe im way off base...

I think they bought the car because it would be an interesting addition to the theme park.
I don think there were any other reasons whatsoever.

I hope sony is up to something. Ghostbusters is a franchise that truely deserves a good revival.

Maybe Columbia and/or Sony is selling the Franchise rights to Universal and so thats the studio that is making GB3?
