another jersy devil post but i have a though on him

i was reading this information on this site that was pointed out to me by kyleogb and it seems that from the the legends the jersy devil was born in many places and i was thinking that their might be more than one jersy devil and they might have mated that could explain the whole living for 260 years and what not but their might even be a community of these devils and there could be alot of them well this is just a though

are they really "Devils"? and it is quite possible for more then one of them, my friends moving down there.. so ima send him out looking for the jersey devil and say if he gets one i'll send him $250 or something. :D

i believe the JD is really a devil, because the story is Mrs Leeds wished her 13th son to be cursed as a devil, so there cant be more than one..i think it is just everlasting..like everlasting gobstoppers! *pops gobstopper into mouth and bites down* hey! it broke!

I brought this point to Deathangel, becuase there are several different place that Jersey Devil was claimed to be born. In fact there could have been more Jersey Devils but actually I think that the story was been retold several, several, and several times again.
Just like the Flying Dutchman and the Mary Celeste.
But who knoow I could be wrong on this subject.

Yeah, I have heard a bunch of vairiations on this story so there probably is more than one. Unless the story just spread and became like that game telephone you played as a kid where you end up with something completely different in the end. That, I think, is probably the most logical explanation.

it originally started in the pine barrens (sp?) but those are the only stories i have ever heard...never any other origins than that
