He's talking about the Minnesota Ghostbusters. I don't know about them, but I also don't know all the franchises. For future reference, Ghost Trek, post franchise related posts on the GBI Franchises board

No, the equipment does not work. Franchises don't have real ghostbusters equipment that works, simply because it is near impossible to make(Theoritically maybe, but reality...very unlikely).

Franchises don't catch ghosts, one or two may hunt ghosts in their costumes (which to me is just wrong) But most franchises just are a bunch of pals who love Ghostbusters. We do mall raids and birthday parties, things real Ghostbusters wouldn't touch with a ten meter Cattleprod. We aren't Parapsychologists either.

the proton pack is not a toy unless you count the ones from toys r us and then well just maybee and if they work who knew that foam could bust a ghost.
