Dose any one remember the "fake" Ghostbusters?

A little while ago my freind and I were talking about Ghostbusters, and I mentioned that I remebered some other Ghostbuster show, it had a fat guy with a really old air plane hat with goggles, some monkey, and some other guy. So my freind looked on the web and found this

After going through the site I also found out that Filmation, the company who made Ghostbuters (NOT "The Real Ghostbusters"), had also made He-man, Thundercats, Snorks, She-ra, and many other crazy early 80's tv shows. Later after that I manged to find the Filmation opening seqeunce for the show. If any one wants me to e-mail them the opening please just leave your e-mail adress and I'll be happy to send it to you.

That cartoon actually came out before Ghostbusters the movie. And that cartoon was actually based on sketches done on a non-animated tv show from the 70's. The movie producers got permission from the to use the name Ghostbusters for the movie but not for the cartoon based on teh movie that came later. That's why the Ghostbusters cartoon was called "The Real Ghostbusters."

I grew up watching and liking both shows and it was pretty wacky but they can't be really considered "fake" since they did have the name first. The humor was based in kinda silly jokes but thats what they were going for... I mean if you wanna say fake as in like not the real ghostbusters then yeah...of course people at a RGB board are gonna support it.  So I'm done in this thread cause I know I'll go crazy trying to defend it.

If theres anything I hate to get into its a RGB/FGB war. Everybody has their opinions on it. Theres no doubt in my mind that most people here hate it. If at most people like the theme song...

now ive been a ghostbusters fan since i can remember and the "fake ghostbusters" show makes me want to Blow Chunks!!! that show is nothing like any of the other show. its like scoobydoo in my opinion!

Yeah I remember that show i used to watch it aswell but iwas never a fan of it because it was a load of crap and the sad part is i still remember the chracters names. But that show was stupid and lame. The Real GhostBusters and The Extreme GhostBusters could dominate the "fake" ghostbusters, which it would hilarious if the did show the rgb's and the egb's zapping and trapping the "fake ghostbusters and their gorilla LoL.

I can't remember which episode it was but Peter made refrences to a ghostbuster cartoon and ape.
I grew up watching both GB shows.
For a lame show it was good.

If you were young and got this show wherever you lived at the time, you'd probably think it was okay, kind of a spinoff for all those who couldn't get enough of Scooby Doo. Remember this show came out before the Ghostbusters movies and the best cartoon, so take that into consideration before you actually slaughter it. I saw it for the first time after I began watching RGB and I laughed at the stupidity of it.

I don't deny the show's origin but it still was corny to me. It doesn't matter if the show came out before the movie or not, it was still corny. Point blank. Come on, they always fought the same ghosts.

YEAH I remember it! I dont know what everyone else's problem is, but I LOVED that show! Do you have the opening theme video clip or something? If so, write me back as soon as possible!
