The real cars are in the Sony backlot. One of the cars is the black car, one of the cars is another production car, and the rest are all new conversions.

Ok you could use the search but here it goes. Ecto1a (GB2) is at Universal Studios and i took pics of it and here they are http://www.ghostbusters.net/propdetail/447/. Ecto1(GB1) is at Sony inside a werehouse but these pics were taken a couple yrs ago http://www.gbprops.com/ref_index.php/8/2/ now the black car (GB1) Columbia pictures convert it to an Ecto1 Replica and its now and in Cleveland http://www.gbprops.com/props_index.php/22

And to answer your question about Universal's Ecto-1, it is a replica of a '59 caddy ambulance, that was modified into an Ecto. I think that it's actually a little smaller than a real one, but not very much.

ILOVEECTO1 USF clean Ecto1a but its still the same shape as it was a couple yrs ago when those pics where taken outside Sony Pictures. All they did to it was ship it to Fl from Cali and like i said USF clean it. Now the black car was convert to a replica of Ecto1 back in a 84 and given away as a prize.

Okay, keep patience with me guys...I got this vague image in my head of a theme park featuring an Ecto from years ago. Now, I can't place the when or where, but I'm pretty sure an Ecto was around, and I have an inkling it was in Florida. Now, was that the one that was given away or am I just nuts? Well, more nuts, anyway.

Alright, lets straighten some things up here okay? there is an ECTO-1 replica in USF as well as the Original ECTO-1A behind some security ropes. the Original ECTO-1 is located in sony studios transportation dept, the black 1959 cadillac ambulance from the first film is now what is known as the "cleveland ECTO-1". there were Never any fiberglass replicas. all of them were true GM caddys. any further questions can be answered at gbprops.com or My site ECTO-135. and watch your mouths!
im gone.
