It's a 1959 Cadillac Ambulance, right? Are there any submodel names, such as a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT, the XLT is the submodel name.

What are all the stats on the Cadillac Ambulance that makes up the Ecto-1?

I am preparing to trade my vechicle in, and if they can locate this vehicle for me, I want it (for obvious reasons).

Also, if anybody has any information about the year, makes, models, and specifics of either of the following vehicles, I'd be much grateful.

Kev

From The Muppet Movie
Fozzie's Studebacher, or the Woody they travel to Hollywood in, also the Electric Mayhem's bus.

From The Blues Brothers
It's a 1974 Dodge Sedan, is it a charger or what?

if you want to buy a 59 from a lot, i suggest you go somewhere that works with antique/special interest autos. a normal car lot probably won't have any luck finding a correct style.

The Bluesmobile was a '74 Dodge Monaco. I have a great, rare book on Cadillac's of the 1950's that has a very in-depth look at the features of every Cadillac model produced during those years. It does not include much information on the coaches however. But anyway, the '59 Cadillac's were available with two engine options, a Cadillac 390ci V-8 with 325hp using a 4bbl carb or a Cadillac 390ci V-8 cranking out 345hp with triple two-barrel carbs. Each made 430 lbs.-ft torque @ 3100 r.p.m. and 435 lbs.-ft torque @ 3400 r.p.m., respectively. No idea what was in Ecto-1, but I'd suggest viewing the scene in the Firehouse with Ray working on the engine when Dana comes in. Anyway, this is all assuming that the engines weren't beefed up for ambulance duty, my guess is that they weren't. According to the book, 2,102 Cadillacs were built with the 156" wheelbase commercial chassis for 1959 (I'm assuming that commercial chassis is the same as an ambulance, hearse, etc.). 142,272 Cadillacs made in total for 1959. Hope this information is helpful KWilliams. If anyone wants to know more I can try and look it up in this book for you.

I thought the bluesmobile was a '74 Dodge Dart? Chuck thinks it is. So do I.

I can't believe that they would have made police cars out of Dodge Darts.... Weren't Darts more of an "economy" (for the 70s) car?

A few cop cars may have been made out of Dodge Darts, but for the most part cop cars are traditionally large 4 door sedans. Throughout the 1970's the Dodge Monaco/Plymouth Fury was the favored platform among police divisions nation-wide. The Dodge Dart was a much smaller car, leaning more towards economy and/or sport. The Bluesmobile was no doubt a Dodge Monaco, trust me. I saw an exact replica of the Bluesmobile at a car show here in town. It was very cool and also for sale. Too bad I didn't have $800 on me at the time, it could have been all mine. Dodge Monaco's actually appear at the end of Ghostbusters, at the part where the guys arrive at Dana's apartment complex just before the final shodown with Gozer (One of 'em falls into the hole in the street). Those were the '76-'78 bodystyle though, the Bluesmobile's bodystyle ran from '74-'75.
