How well known is the original Ghostbusters logo?

I couldve easily been mistaken for a nut case yesterday while I was downtown with a printout copy of the Ghostbusters 1 logo, I asked a total of 100 people of all ages from 6 to 78 if they reconized the logo at all, and only 2 people didnt mention Ghostbusters. Their answers were:
A new anti-smoking ban logo
An enviromentalist group logo from the 60's
pretty good huh? shouldve rented a video camera. Talk about "running yourass off meetin' & greeting people".

Your survey sounds a lot like what Rick Mercer did with "Talking to Americans". Wish I was there to see it.

Heh heh heh, thank goodness the GBs aren't entirely forgotten yet. 
I think I ought try that survey at the boardwalk only a couple feet away from my apartment...

Free time? actually yes. i finished up my workload for the day. it was great. hearing so many people quote GB. but an anti-smoking ad??

Hey, I was wearing my GB costume two days before Halloween. I was walking near a shoping center and a guy in a car asked me if I was an exterminator! I thought he was joking but he was serious. The next day, I was waiting for the green light with some people at the corner of the street. A woman asked me if I was a security man! During Halloween, there was a great house made to look like if it was haunted. There was a smoke machine, torchs, toybats and... a news car where I was standing close to. The 3/4 of the people thought I was a technician! The funniest thing is most of them was above 20. Those who knew what my costume was had something like 5years old and up!
Reeeeeeeeealy weird! 
Oh yeah... I had the GB logo too

I was wearing my Ghostbusters sweatshirt one day when this girl came up to me and asked my why I hate ghosts. I said it's because I'm a Ghostbuster, it's my job...then she asked what a Ghostbuster was. My jaw just droped and my friends had to tell her what Ghostbusters because I was in such a state of shock. I couldn't believe it, at least she recognized that it was a ghost, but still! Yes Doc, soon...soon will all know...yyeeeesssss.....

hei feel sorry for this guy at work. he's a good guy, really, but has never seen RGB. I always have GB or GB2 in (cause i work in the video dept at a grocery store), and i asked him how he could have grown up in the 80's ( he in his early 20's) and not like GB. He said he NEVER watched RGB, or even the movies. I really feel sorry for the guy, and need to loan him a video tape. that and i wanna score with his sister!

I did somthing like that we dressed up as ghostbusters waveing a trap . Some peopele wondered what we was doing others smiled . We did get it on camera til a police officer asked us to stop because of somthing called a relse form from the pple who was in the film had to get there permission .I understand but the best stuff happend wilst we talked to the police they also knew what we was doing and say to carry on .
We had such a great time we made a 5 min montche shot it was so like the film .Some call it to far we think its a set of fans livin' a dream . If you think of making a film of ghostbusters get a camcorda and just get about 15 meters away this gets the sound and all of them in shot . If you have a d.v camcorda you can make effects like music and transaction ( movment to the next shot ) thats all and make sure you get that relse from the on lookers .
