Ok Ghostbusters has the best logo ever.... but is that damn ghost supposed to look to the left or the right..... i wanna know for sure...

exactly same here. watch the 1st movie at the begging when the librarian screams and the music starts the logo comes up.

Supposed to look left. As explained elsewhere, the right face is so it reads easier internationally. Hey, did anyone realize there were actually 2 logos in the first movie? A bulky one for the main title and a smoother refined one for everything else.

If I remember right, the logo's backwards here to allow the site name to read better, left to right.

I´m a Graphic Designer graduated of the Universidad Autónoma de Durango, here, in Durango, MEXICO, and let me tell ya people, the NoGhost Logo is the BEST LOGO I EVER SEEN. There´s no other with that fine traces, I think it´s one of the most recognizable logos of all the times. I don´t know someone who don´t knows what it means. EVERY BODY KNOWS IT!!!!!
No Ghots Logo: The Best Logo in the Whole World.
Anybody knows the name of the designer who did it????

Dan Aykroyd did some early ones, then (the way I understand it) a friend of his refined it. The GB1 DVD has some of the alternate logos in the special features.

let's say that this twinky i'm holding represents the normal levels of "no-ghost" threads on GBN. if my calculations are correct, the current level of "no-ghost" threads would be represented by a twinky 35 feet long and weighing approx. 600 pounds.

it's supposed to be looking to the left, except when Sony makes an editting blunder -_- in one shot in the first movie the Ecto 1 is seen turning a corner, it's supposedly making a LEFT hand turn, when in reality (in the ORIGINAL film), it is making a RIGHT hand turn. In the film, the logo is reversed because the film was flipped during editing O_o WHY Sony would let that slip I dunno  Just like on the back of the Ghostbusters 1 DVD, Peter's picture was "Y Flipped" 180 degrees and his name patch is on his right hand side (and is backwards if I recall right).
But yes, as you see in many-a-pictures, the ghost is in fact looking off to the left, which is the way the logo is copyrighted. Chad's logo on the other hand, is flipped probably to avoid copyright laws OR just to be original (I'm hoping to be original ^_^)
