I was watching TV this afternoon in Houston so no one else probably saw it, but this car dealership caled, Champion Ford or Chevy or something used to GB theme and changed the words to promote there dealership disgusted me, terrible awful, I nearly puked

Same here, except it was only the BG music you hadda really listen to in order to hear 'cause the damn guy talked too loud and fast.

A few year ago, they played Ghostbusters on vh1. and the guy had said that it was a stupid song and he was never seen on vh1 anymore. Serves him right.

Commercials seem to be doing that with all the old TV shows thesedays. Ever see the Old Navy TV ad, using "The Love Boat" opening theme music.

i live in houston and i wasnt too mad about that commercial
it gives publicity to the franchise. and that is what a twenty year old movie needs, something that makes people say: "hey, that song is from ghostbusters, that was a great movie...you know, i saw that movie on sale at walmart i think that i'll go buy it right now!!!"
now what's wrong with that?
