From watching several streamers on this site, like "Darkness At Noon", I'm left pondering whether or not both Kiley and Janine don't have a thing for Egon. Anybody else pick up on this? A man should be so lucky, as to have two women interested in him in the real world. Cheerie Bye

I think Kylie likes Egon for intellectual reasons. Janine does have a crush on Egon. I did notice that. He's lucky because he has me.

I seem to remember an episode where Egon had an exterminator around and need a place to stay over night, both girls seemed eager to have "him" stay with them but, nobody wanted the lil' green dude . Slimers poor luck I guess. I kinda thought they were sending Egon signals, he never picked up, because of his nature . Which Egon do you like? THere are three versions you know now.

Oh yeah. So much for my deductive reasoning. Well they don't seem to have changed the guy that much from the 80's to the 90's series, so you can enjoy Egon equally from either toon version, I guess. I thought, the fact that both gals seem to be sending signals to Egon could be developed into a fanfic. Probably eventually bust up THe Ghostbusters, if this theme went too far . They never developed the characters enough, in the second animated series, to be sure about many issues like this. They may have if it continued, pity it didn't last.

I have noticed that in RGB a lot of women hit on Egon, not just Janine. The librarian in "Chicken, he Clucked" and the girl in "No One Comes to Lupisville" come to mind.

I watched about a months worth of "Extreme Ghostbusters" episodes on sci/fi, before they took them off. Never knew why it left, seemed like a damn shame too, cause it was a good TV show. I never saw the other GB cartoon from the late 80's, except for the streamers format on this site. So, I don't really know whether women found Egon attractive or not in either version, except I think Kiley and Janine both had the hots for him at some point in the series . Guess I'd think he was cute, if he were real, the toon version, NOT the movie guy. Maybe I should post my thoughts under recommendations for fanfics.

I always read a little bit of a "schoolgirl crush" angle into Kylie, but it fades over the course of the series: first, she grudgingly begins to develop feelings for Eduardo (not that she'd admit it) and the realization that Egon is spoken for...
Janine, now that lady loves him. She's exasperated by his evasiveness, and at times ready to just throw in the towel and move on ("Robo-Buster", GB2, possibly between RGB and XGB) but can't keep away from him. She just can't give up on him.

Plus we also remember her desperation, it actually drives her into the arms of another man...or insect king in The Crawler. Well, maybe some part desperation and wanting to make Egon jealous.

I'm gonna assume that Kylie is from EGB...which I've just never been able to watch.
As for RGB...Egon figured it out EVENTUALLY...in Janine's ghost. I think he said something about never appreciating how important someone is to you until you might lose them -and the ep ends with the er...scifi date.
In the movie, he certainly seems to have a clue -more than he does in the cartoon, anyway. I think he just doesn't notice girls hitting on him most of the time 'cause he's more interested in other stuff that's going on. (He doesn't notice a lot when he gets absorbed, actually...Wiston said something about "A brilliant man, with the attention span of a tumbleweed.") Your basic brilliant flake.
Janine, at least, lovees that about him -most of the time. Egon can be an infuriating person to try to work with, but I think the group was tight enough that actually, they all liked each other's eccentriities. Notice how Peter & Egon are always picking on each other...but when the guys pair off on a random mission, Winston & Ray tend to go together, and Peter & Egon tend to go together?

They don’t just call them The Real Ghostbusters for no reason! Take a look at Take Two, Citizen Ghost, The Ghostbusters Omnibus Timeline, THE GHOSTBUSTERS FACT LIST, and RGB Truly Canon with the Movies?, and you’ll see why!

By some chance I watched "Janine You've Changed", the other day on this sites streamers section. I did catch that Janine and Egon were going to start seeing one another at the end of that episode. Then in,"The Crawler", which I watched today, had the girls talking together about Egon, so they both must not both want him. Maybe the producers tweaked the characters as the series went along or something, so both girls wouldn't have a rivialry over Egon going on. Although a little backstabbing and throat cutting, between the ladies may have made an interesting sidebar. I never thought Kiley liked Eduardo, on the other hand Eduardo, like Peter, seemed interested in various women throughout the series. But, some fanfics put various charcters together, some authors do it very well.

It's not just the brain power they're attracted to, it's the uniform. For some reason, chicks really dig guys in uniform. From what I heard, a lot of girls were hanging around the guys dressed in GB outfits at the Pittsburgh con, and dissed Wolverine and Spidey and friends.
It's the uniform, man.

So you think Janine and Kiley got a thing for Egon cuz of the uniform? I could see that they might, over Egon or the Afro-American buster (not sure whether his name is Winston or Roland, they seem to call him both in these toons). Guys in uniform are a turn on.
