where is the master copies of the two gb films ?

The films must be in the coluba's storage
( they better be !) I hope they there looking after the films 'cose if not there will be no re-make that is "ghostbusters" . On another post were is the ecto -1 ? in the dvd comm. they say the car broke down on the ray and winston's bridge crossin' talking about the end of the world . So for gb2 they must have got it working or made a new version but surly the broken down one would be on show . The car is old and needs to be looked after the hundrends of vistors seeing the car at the uni. studios must get batted by children unknowing the reson for this great car and eating & spilling etc.
and the logo will they use three fingers in the logo or will a moden new look logo be used ? any way speaking of cars i need to get mine form the garage .

As far as anyone knows, the film masters are in storage at Columbia - recently the GB master was used to make a new, cleaned up print, which was shown in LA.
As for the fingers, I'm guessing that if the third movie were to go ahead, it's hard to say if they'd do the three fingered logo. It's the obvious choice, but as the years pass, it starts to make more sense to return to the original, iconic logo.

thanks a lot for the message .Yes i guess so the other props like the traps and the fire house on a great website which a ghostbustees net memeber took photos of the fire house they are still in the time which the film left them meaning they look down ..not really looked after but i mabe wrong. Just hit that lil edit button and you wouldn't have to say sorry.
And as far as the logo goes I would think that it makes more sense to just go back to the original logo, like they did for EGB. It just makes more sense to use what EVERYONE knows..

The negatives are safely stored in a temperature controlled room 200 ft. underground in the Sony vaults.
And Castewar is absolutely right, a brand new print was struck from the original negative for the LA screening. Last I heard, said print will be travelling to various theaters around the country before returning to Sony for storage and subsequent rental.

If you don't take care of the films properly, they will combust, so you have to moniter them.
